Did Arn install new servers or upgrade or change the forum handling to deal with the iPhone surge in MR postings? It seem to have started about then.

I got two emails about a post today. Do you want any further information? It was at 5.32pm (UK time), and concerns a post by Peace, all the other emails I've got ever haven't been duplicated.

I don't think we need more details, but thank you. We just need to scold the servers more severely and see if we can get them to behave.

The past few days the system has been going nuts. I have gotten like 30 replies e-mails for one post.

FYI: This problem has not gone away. If anything, it's gotten worse. We're still hoping to cure the forum system of this bad habit.

Is this a known vB issue or is it just the way the servers are configured?

Perhaps we've improved things. Please report here if you still receive multiple emailings about posts made after the time of this post, so we know if it is still happening.

Double Subscription E-mails from MacRumors

Almost everyday, I open up my e-mail and I have double e-mails for all my subscriptions (which are all set to daily). The first wave comes a little after 12AM EST and the second wave comes a little around 1AM. Why am I getting double e-mails?

Yeah, this seems to be an ongoing thing from the past.

I think this thread is one of the older ones, but usually someone creates another thread in this subforum saying the same thing you are.

I just merged these threads together, thanks Calboy for the link :).

I hope those who are subscribed to this thread don't get duplicates because of this.

Bumping this old thread. I've been getting multiple emails for subscribed threads too with subscriptions set to daily. Today I received an email at 9:03 PM, read the new replies in the thread, then I got another email with exactly the same contents at 10:02 PM, no new replies or edited posts in the thread.

The full headers just in case:
