Looks kinda neat. Must be a hidden feature that's unlocked by wearing cheap skinny jeans. ;)

Anyone experiencing this? I know the Gold phones have white bands, I dont remember if Silver had white bands.

I know Grey/Black have grey bands, so I assume they will be unaffected.

See is the discolored bands on the attached photo.

Where am I supposed to be looking? It looks fine.

That is a new iPhone 6 feature. It is letting you know that when you purchased your jeans you made a wrong turn at the entrance at the jeans shop and went into the girls section by mistake...

I'm no fabric expert, but I suspect that any cotton blue jeans would have this problem.

Haven't ever noticed it in decades of jeans wearing. Exception being brand new indigo blue not pre-washed styles, but I haven't bought any of those in years.

This is pretty common for Ive's designs. The diamond cut chamfer on the iPhone 5 looks great new, but ugly after a few months of use.

Ive designs for the pedestal, not the real world.

My chamfered edge looks just as new, over a year now. No case.

Wow! I have a gold 6+ and didn't even notice the slight blue hue on the exposed portion of antenna band underneath the camera lense (I use a case) until after reading this thread.

Should I switch to gold jeans?

what about us hipsters with raw denim? are we immediately screwed once we put our iphone 6's in our pockets for more than a few minutes?

Bah, my chamfer on my phone looked great till the day I traded it in (Today actually).

That being said, I don't really care for the 6's looks anyways. The 5 was the prettiest of the iPhones imho.

Oh, and here's another vote for quit with the adding "gate" after everything. All it serves to do is make you look overdramatic and like a drama queen. Oh, and it also makes you look like you don't know history. One, gate doesn't mean contorversy or whatnot, watergate was just the name of the place where the original scandal took place. Also, the reason people keep using "gate" is because one journalist decided to use it for some other scandal to be "cute" and couldn't come up with anything new for any other things he covered so he kept using it. So it really is just a sign that you can't come up with anything creative to call something. And I really want to slap that journalist for ever starting this trend.

Weird, never had dye from my blue jeans rub off on anything. Also my pockets aren't blue jean material, never had any with blue jean material in the pockets. Must be some tight pockets for the phone to rub hard against the outer blue jean around the pocket.

The word "gate" is in the article.

I used to have an HTC ONE and it has similar bands and they most definitely dis colored because of jeans and over time. One of the reasons I went with 6+ in space gray.

This reminds of this one time after a party my walls were covered in dye shaped butts from...er perhaps thats a story for another time :p ;) :D Are the jeans tight though? I've seen this happen with really nice jeans even but it was on my wallet so I assumed it was just from a more extreme form of wear and tare....Side note: Glad my Space Grey iPhone 6 has the grey lines, they almost look a little blue!

At least its unique

Throw it in the washer with non bio washing tabs and bleach. Should fix it.

(no don't do this)

Again, why no case??? Geeze... The new cases for these new iPhones are very thin and you should not be worried about not using one. Sometimes I get the feeling that many of you that don't use a case are just trying to show others that you've upgraded "to boast your purchase" while some just like the feel and admire the look of the phone. Well, good luck trying to sell that phone next year as it will be discolred and scratched because you choose not to protect it...

However that blue might come out with a rag and some bleach. But honestly, once that blue Jean dye gets embedded into plastic it is very difficult to get out. Some mild paint thinner might work also. But try not to use anything that's going to hurt your phone any worse.

Color transfer happens to light colored handbags as well. Mostly from rubbing against your jeans. I thought maybe the white bands would turn yellowish over time, so I can see this happening with jeans. Hopefully a case will keep that from happening.

Agreed! I bought a Tech21 Evo case that is clear on the back to show the gold, but still offers impact resistance. I don't see why anyone would carry them naked.
