Dye from Jeans Is Apparently Ruining the iPhone’s Plastic Strips

Is it wrong to think that looks kind of cool?

Of course not my friend. I'm all about esthetics as well but protection is EQUALLY as important. Right now I use 2 different slim profile cases for my 6+ as to keep it ding/scratch free.

I like this case because it shows off the beauty of the device in its entirety, yet offers protection from scratches, dings, and dye bleeding from clothing.

This one is esthetically pleasing as well because not only does it show off the Apple logo but the case feature chamfered edges thus giving it a very premium look that compliments the iPhone very well.

Magic Eraser may not be a bad suggestion. As a word of caution, I'd masking tape everything except the plastic band when doing it to make sure it doesn't damage the metal finish in any way. I'd probably also only test it on a small section of the plastic band at first to make sure it doesn't somehow make the problem worse.

No need to tape it off. We lease MacBooks and clean them up from all the stickers and crap by using Magic Erasers. The best thing yet. Does not do anything to the metal/aluminum. It gets off all weird residue. I am sure it will remove the blue hue from the bands without issue.

it's called a case..

No. Why do people think all phones should be in a case??? Remember when phones were rarely in a case? Pepperidge Farm Remembers!

Still blows my mind seeing people take a beautiful, thin phone and increase it's size 3x over by slapping plastic/rubber all over it. To each their own. I don't use cases and never will. Never had a problem.

Who cares about what the phone looks like in case . I use my phone to talk on and I don't need to use it to impress others ! I am rocking an Otterbox defender by the way and I love it

Not on my phone, but happened a lot on certain phone cases. One pink one, for example, was badly stained by jeans.[/QUOTE]

Same experience on white and light colored cases. And Magic Eraser did not remove.

Obviously none of you have gotten bleach on your jeans. If you do you will note the white where blue used to be. If you truely have blue color transfer just use a Q-tip with drop of bleach. Carefully rub over blue plastic strip and watch it turn white again. Just don't overdo it. And after it whitens use a slightly damp cloth on the strips. Remember you don't need much. This works well on countertops stained with any organic colors, grape juice, wine, raspberries, etc. there another gate closed.

Any antenna issues with the spigen case. I've heard that the metal band interrupts reception on phone calls

None at all my friend, in fact this is the case that I'm currently using. If there were any so called antenna issue with it then I would remove the case and send it back immediately. I recently send back a Spigen case simply because I didn't like the way it felt it my hand.

I have clients who buy 150k cars with light colored seats and then complain its the cars fault their jeans are transferring blue to the seat....

Yes, its the cars fault. We use leather specifically designed to suck the color off whatever it comes in contact, we call it the chameleon feature.
