Listen, I think e13 is a great company. They make great cases (priced kinda high though) that fit excellent and they have great customer service. But if you honestly sit there and say that those two cases do not look exactly alike, then you need glasses. You have been on the e13 band wagon since day 1 but the e13 design is far from unique. The other case was out for months and months before the e13 ever came onto the scene. Every single part of the e13 case is exactly like the other one, just like the Atomic is exactly like the Element. Its very very obvious and its no big deal but people shouldn't come on here and say they can't see the similarities because its painfully obvious. On that note, I will not hesitate to order a e13 when the Verizon version comes out which is hopefully soon.

Having used the Fitted, I can tell you they are not as similar as you think. The fact that they both follow the lines of the phone and have cutouts for the controls guarantees that they'll look similar. But the Fitted, besides being a full-back plastic case, has a much more boxy design than the e13, which has beveled edges. The Fitted has almost completely squared edges and an unusually high "lip" around the screen, which gives it a weird feeling in the hand. It also has a single cutout on the bottom for the dock connector and speakers, while the e13 has separate cutouts (probably because those little in-between pieces would break pretty easily if made from plastic). The top edge designs are also different, with the Fitted being asymmetrical (bigger cutout for the sleep button than the mini jack), whereas the e13 has a symmetrical design, with the "high-spot" between the cutouts being centered on the design.

My 5 e13ctron cases just got dropped off and they all look fantastic. So many colors! Such a nice case. Every time I see one of these I like them more.

I have only seen these colors online so I'm not sure. But which of the two between aluminum and light grey looks higher quality? It seem to me that the light grey would look like a very high quality color, while the aluminum would look a bit plain. But this is pure assumption.

If it was you, would you recommend me the aluminum or light grey along to go with my black back? Which one is a popular wiser choice? Thanks.

Also, during the end of this video, is this guy sporting the black back + light grey or aluminum front?

I have to agree with most of the posts here. This case is outstanding for an all aluminum case. The impact on reception is minimal (at least for me). The gps is spot on. I use Navigon and it takes a couple extra seconds to lock on my location but when it does, it is very accurate and never loses my location. No real technical testing done on my part as this case for me has very little impact on reception, if any. I'm fortunate that I have strong signals at home and at the office.

The build quality of the case is very nice. The larger beveled edges makes the case feel smaller than it really is. This case is slightly bigger than my alumacase but it feels smaller and less bulky. The front and back pieces line up perfectly and you can't even feel the seams. I was a little worried about the look of the six screws on the front but it surprisingly compliments the overall design of the case. The case I have is the light grey color and the screws blend in. This color matches almost perfectly with the color of the iphone's band and buttons. The case comes up to the edge of the glass but does not overlap so I have no issues with my front and back protectors.

The cutout for the volume buttons could of been slightly larger as the buttons are right up against the edge of the case. The sleep/awake button is recessed but can still be accessed with the pad of your finger whereas with the alumacase, you had to stick the tip of your finger into the recess to operate the button. The opening for the headphone jack seams large enough to accommodate most headphones. I use a V-moda with no problems. An added bonus that I was not counting on was that the opening for the dock connector is large enough for all of my third party cables and it also docks into my griffin and apple docks (with no adapters).

The only thing negative I have to say about this case is that it takes some time to put on (15 min. for me). The plastic inserts would not line up for me and the screws are very small and can easily be stripped. Fortunately they give you two extra screws. This is not a case that I would want to swap out every few days with my other cases. Once it's on, it stays on.

The case is a little pricey but in line with most of the other aluminum cases. I paid 6.00+ for USPS priority shipping and received the case two business days after I ordered (live in Florida).

32knights, what colour and finish have you got on your phone in those pics? Can't tell if it's clear anodised (silver) or light grey. I'm guessing it is the "polished" finish due to the time that you posted, I don't think that the matte cases were out then. If anyone has light grey or clear anodised in matte and is able to post some images that would really be appreciated. Thanks, and that's my first post (long time (2+ years) lurker).

*edit* Does anyone sport an S4 with a "Skin Guard" or "Gelaskins" type application on the back? Does it cause any interference with case? Thank you.

damm is pass a week and the case has been shiped when i buy the vapor case the same day shiped the case and arrieved at the 4 day:mad:

Pics or... :D

Here are some pics of the cases. Sorry about some focus issues, still learning the lightbox setup properly.

Some color combinations I was messing around with:

Blue/Silver

blue-silver2.jpg

Purple/Black (looks so nice in person)
purple-black.jpg

purple-black3.jpg

purple-black2.jpg

And I think I found a replacement for the Black/white knock-off Apple bumper:

(I can't wait to see what the white color looks like when it comes out)

I have plenty of other pictures but didn't feel like processing them right now.

Don't mind some of the gaps you see around the iPhone and the case in the pictures. I didn't install the plastic inserts when taking the pics or the screws.

Anyone have an all red one and can post pics

Thinking I'm gonna get this over the Jett? Anyone have experience with both cases? Is this S4 thinner than the casemate jett?

Don't mind the price, just curious about comparison

Would like to see pics of all red and a all black version

Thanks in advance

I had the Jett as well as this case. Returned the Jett recently. The e13ctron is not as bulky feeling as the Jett due to the way it is cut with the tapered edges. Also, as the case around the headphones and dock connector is made thinner, the e13ctron case is much more compatible with other aftermarket dock connectors and headphones. Finally the finish of the e13ctron case is just so much better than the Jett. Over all, I just would not buy the Jett if you are considering the e13ctron. the e13ctron is a clear winner to me.

I'd like to see an all black version too, if someone has it?

obyte!

Nice photo quality. Thanks much! This is a fun case to play with. Currently enjoying an orange top with dark grey back. And silver top with black back for formal, of course;).

I currently have the orange top with black bottom. Love this case and so far no issues at all with this case.

i appreciate your input

Just ordered and international shipping costs a lot!! I questioned Jacob about this and he said they don't charge any markup on shipping and offered another top piece by way of recompense. As for everyone else my experience has been that e13ctron were exemplary in their customer service and response times.

I'm between the regular case in matte dark grey and hybrid black plastic back and black chrome front. Color-wise, i love the matte dark grey.

My signal with 3G on is normally 3 bars but sometimes it drops to even 1-2 bar. Should I but the alluminium version right now, or wait for the hybrid one?
