Got my case today and so far so good. Went with orange top and black back. Wanted to get the black screws but they said they don't have those in stock yet but will email when they get them. So far so good with signal and gps. Ordering was very prompt. Ordered Fri morning and arrived today using priority mail. Was really surprised to get it today. Will take pics and post tomorrow.

which color would match the phones metal band more? light or dark gray? you can never really tell exact colors with website pictures :( . thanks

Sorry to hi-jack temporarily......

Hey Nick. I just ordered the dark gray. I was looking for the gunmetal color. I hope that is the right color for that. Was that the right color I should have gotten? Please let me know. Also, I noticed on the home page where you can see colors on the phone that you can get silver or black screws. I would like to get black screws. I requested this in the order. Is that good? Thanks for the quick reply in advance!

I don't think the dark gray matches the iPhone 4's bezel but it's still an awesome look and I'm sure you're gonna love it! Enjoy :)

Hey Schneider, thanks for the reply. I actually wasn't trying to match the bezel. I was actually looking for gunmetal. I like gunmetal colors. But thank you for the reply. I just hope I can get the black screws with the case. I found it rather difficult spending 92. smackers for an iPhone 4 case! Oh well, you only live once!:apple:

Oh ok well in that case yes that is gunmetal. This is mine, it's the light gray and silver.

Well after a day of use everything seems to be working fine. I am using a lucky labs black wrap as well. Here are some pics. Not the best but only have the one old camera.

Grnamin, thanks for the dark gray case pic. I think it will be very nice! Now I just need to return the case-mate Jett case I just ordered. I haven't even gotten it yet and am just gonna refuse delivery. I have been reading bad reception issues. This was the case I originally intended on getting. Just a lot of money. But gotta spend money to get what works I guess.

i just got a notification today saying that my case has been shipped! its gonna be here in few days.

many thanks to Nick and Jacob of e13tron, that was a killer deal indeed, since international order can't get a free shipping. and also for upgrading my shipping to Express!

you guys are awesome!

What I meant to say was after about a week of use I have not noticed any reception issues, gps is a little slow to lock but when it does it's dead on and wifi works fine. This is definitely a keeper and does get quite a few looks. Finally an aluminum case that doesn't effect signal at least in my area.

Little to add. . .

. . . to all the great photos. Mine came last week. I went with the dark grey and am very happy with the color. I like the all-aluminum feel, and the added grip is nice for photography. (I was going to go caseless until I started noticing fine scratches on my camera lens)

Machining quality is super, as is the finish. Just a couple notes for new buyers:
1. The screws are REALLY small . . .
2. Assembly instructions are fine, but aligning the plastic pieces to allow the phone to fit took me longer than expected.
3. Access: Personally, I like this approach better than having additional parts to extend the buttons, but there are trade-offs. The volume buttons are pretty recessed, so are not that easy to adjust. Since I don't do this often it's not a problem for me.

And, of course, I really like the look!

Ok, here is my input on this case. I have to say I love it more than the Atomic hybrid, sadly, just because of its looks, its non-hybrid nature AND its lack of impact of cellular/wi-fi/gps performance for me and the wife, in our service area.
I will say kudos to them for their design, even though I recall bashing the company for thread-jacking in the past. I am able to dock and charge the e13ctron case in my Griffin Power Duo (not using the supplied inserts) without resorting to a 30 pin extender/adapter. Nothing really more to add that hasn't already been addressed in the mini-review or the other full review. I ordered like 3 days ago and shipping and service was fast, but that could be because I'm also situated in California. They are located in Fresno, CA. I flubbed the color choice for my wife's case and e-mailed them, and they fixed it before it shipped. I'd have to say they are pretty responsive, maybe in part to the fact that they maybe they haven't gotten "too popular" to keep up with demand. The cases are pricey, but for me I'm retiring my Atomic for this case. Here are some pictures for eye-brain digestion and I apologize if they are not ideal photos, but I whipped them up in a hurry. I chose to go all solid colors, with red/red for me and purple/purple for the wife.

I received my dark grey case 3 days ago. I love the way this case fits on the phone. The quality is really nice. I own the raw, vapor, and the atomic hybrid. This is my favorite of the true aluminum cases. However in my area it does effect the signal a little not enough to cause me to not use it but in my area there is probably a difference of -4 on the signal. I love the feel of the true aluminum.
My gps however is not always pinpoint and it wont always lock on to me when driving. It is better then the other true aluminum cases, at least in my area, but I like the feel of an all aluminum case so this and the hybrid are the two cases I am using for know.

It doe not seem to have any impact on my wifi

First thoughts...... love it!

I finally got mine last night after work. I was gonna wait till today to put it on but was watching TV and fiddling with it got it all snapped into place. I must say a snug fit none the less! I love the case though. I almost got the Atomic Hybrid until I kept seeing the guys from E13ctron on the Atomic Hybrid thread. I then decided to check them out. At first the price was like......"yikes" but then I decided this may be the last case I buy so do it. I am glad I did! It is super nice. I have always had only 1 bar in my house and I still have 1 bar. GPS and wifi are perfect. No problems. 3G works like it did before the case was on. The only thing I wanted and didn't get was the black screws. I got silver. I have the dark gray case and stated in the ordering process that I wanted black screws. I think since I asked for the black screws that when they are available I should get them for free. Thats my opinion. I mean the case was $92.00. Anyways, very happy. Now I just gotta return the case-mate Jett case I odered (only ordered because it was a steal)

I have to agree with most of the posts here. This case is outstanding for an all aluminum case. The impact on reception is minimal (at least for me). The gps is spot on. I use Navigon and it takes a couple extra seconds to lock on my location but when it does, it is very accurate and never loses my location. No real technical testing done on my part as this case for me has very little impact on reception, if any. I'm fortunate that I have strong signals at home and at the office.

The build quality of the case is very nice. The larger beveled edges makes the case feel smaller than it really is. This case is slightly bigger than my alumacase but it feels smaller and less bulky. The front and back pieces line up perfectly and you can't even feel the seams. I was a little worried about the look of the six screws on the front but it surprisingly compliments the overall design of the case. The case I have is the light grey color and the screws blend in. This color matches almost perfectly with the color of the iphone's band and buttons. The case comes up to the edge of the glass but does not overlap so I have no issues with my front and back protectors.

The cutout for the volume buttons could of been slightly larger as the buttons are right up against the edge of the case. The sleep/awake button is recessed but can still be accessed with the pad of your finger whereas with the alumacase, you had to stick the tip of your finger into the recess to operate the button. The opening for the headphone jack seams large enough to accommodate most headphones. I use a V-moda with no problems. An added bonus that I was not counting on was that the opening for the dock connector is large enough for all of my third party cables and it also docks into my griffin and apple docks (with no adapters).

The only thing negative I have to say about this case is that it takes some time to put on (15 min. for me). The plastic inserts would not line up for me and the screws are very small and can easily be stripped. Fortunately they give you two extra screws. This is not a case that I would want to swap out every few days with my other cases. Once it's on, it stays on.

The case is a little pricey but in line with most of the other aluminum cases. I paid 6.00+ for USPS priority shipping and received the case two business days after I ordered (live in Florida).

Bluedragon I had asked for the black screws as well but they were not available yet. So what I did was put the screws thru some cardboard and spray painted them blk. Just the tops with a light spray and they came out fine. I have some pics further up. The ones with the Joker on the back.

i just got the notification notice that my case is ready to pick up at the post. its sunday here so i have to wait til tomorrow. i will definitely do a comparison with the blade and my coming soon vapor knock off. yes i ordered that one too. i'm already broke now!

i will get the light gray and blue top and extra red top with black screws. by the way, the extra red top is free. it was the one mentioned by Nick of e13ctron here in the forum when they were having free shipping promotion. since i can't get a free shipping, he gave me a killer deal that i can't say no it.

and they upgraded my Priority Mail to Express Mail for free!

these guys from e13ctron are awesome!
