Yes. I have the "gap" too but it is just the clear plastic insert that you can see through. I tend to think it is more noticeable at night (light leakage) but unless I go looking for it I'm not noticing.

Is it normal to see a gap on the left side volume area? I can slightly see through from the front and back. The one pic shows the gap I'm talking about. My 3G signal goes from 4 to 3 bars in my apt too. Not a biggie since I live in a strong 3G area.

Did not expect this out of a $85 case
Haven't second thoughts about the case...my signal goes up and down way too often as well.
I will give it a few days to see if I wanna keep or return this case....too bad because I was super excited about it

That is not normal and I'm sure you could get it replaced. I didn't have any gaps in my cases.

When I installed, the plastic inserts bent really easy and didn't sit in the case properly. Most likely why I am having that gap and also why my reception is worse with this case.
I will email Jacob and see what he can do for me

What I am talking about is normal for this case so perhaps what you have is something more significant. It isn't a gap in my case just where the plastic liner sits relative to the cut-out. I have no problem with it and as stated can only find it when I go looking. However, reception is something else entirely and for me it has not been noticeably different with or without the case. FWIW I am on Telstra in Australia (major metropolitan area).

I want to update my post from late yesterday. I'm back in my office this morning and besides having a full 5 bars, my speeds are now back where they should be. It's safe to say that the E13ctron case had little to no affect on my signal and it was just coincidence that AT&T was having problems the same day I received the case. I'm loving this thing!
like i said before 3g speeds are so irratic for me its hard to get a reading, glad you like your case
It's wasn't that it was erratic, the 3G data service was just screwed up by my office yesterday. Getting 35kbps down isn't normal under any circumstance so I'm glad it was due to tower trouble and not the case.
haha yeah that is low, did you have a skin on yours under the case, looked like something in the pic
oh sorry it was the red one that had the carbon skin on it, i like that one with the red skin on it underneath looks pretty cool
Here are some better quality photos of the all red polish w/ black screws. I talked to Jacob last night and he is sending me new liners, most likely the reason for the gap near the volume area and why my reception fluctuates so often.

that read is vibrant , on the web site it shows the plastic peices as being black, are your black or clear?
Yeah the red is really stunning in person. The plastic liners are clear. Jacob is sending me new liners but so far so good with the case. My apt has been spotty but typing this right now, I've had 5 bars on the highway (im not driving)
its the carbon wrap that lucky labs sells
i've had it for a few months and still looks brand new...well worth it
