Worst day ever for this timing as I have a packed day at work tomorrow.

I want to just sit back and enjoy all the game greatness!

Only interested in the Sony and Nintendo shows this year. I want to know more about PSN and what they plan on doing with PS1 or PS2 games (if anything), about Playstation Now and what's up next for the main Nintendo IPs.

UK times for shows:

Microsoft Monday June 9th at 5.30pm
EA Monday, June 9th at 8pm
Ubisoft Monday, June 9th at 11pm
Sony Tuesday, June 10th at 2.00AM
Nintendo Tuesday, June 10th at 5pm, (Online only)

MS's biggest thing will be a package called "ACE", containing all previous Halo games remastered for XBone, running at 60fps. Out this holiday season, comes with a beta key for Halo 5.

Also next Tomb Raider game is called "Rise of the Tomb Raider".

You heard it here first! ;)

Perfect :)

Are we taking bets? My guesses:

  • No new "main" Zelda for Wii U
  • New Metroid Prime for Wii U
  • Nothing at all from Valve
  • GTA V for PS4, Xbox One and PC. 1080p on consoles
  • New gamepad for Wii U that has a 3DS/DS slot on it
  • Little Big Planet 3 announcement
  • Cryptic Halo 5 announcement
  • Free roaming Mirrors Edge 2

Are there easy links to watch the Microsoft and Sony conferences live?

I know Microsoft is 1230 and then Sony at 930 where I am (EST USA)

Watching Xbox show on xbone now ... It's still build up but its pretty painful so far ..

Basically expect them to drum up Sunset Overdrive (which if I am honest looks like a 6/10 game to me) and trying to get us excited for the ios game threes.... If that's the build up God help the show.

I'm viewing via my XBox One also... seems a bitty skippy at times... like it jumps a split second forward or back. No corruption of video or quality reset... just... a bit glitchy it seems to me.

But otherwise so far so good. Although nothing is revealed yet. I don't have high hopes this year. Likely a bunch of sales stats along with "here's some 'new' features coming to your system and half will be cancelled and the other half are features we mentioned in last years E3 and haven't gotten around to implementing yet!"

This pre-show nonsense isn't build up. It's just wasting time until the show starts. There isn't going to be any stunning reveal in the pre-show.

Halo collection .... Running on their original engines ..... So basically other than upping the resolution and framerate it looks like no graphical overhaul .... Of corse they should be able to be 1080p 60fps then ... yet the audience still clap? .....

I'm pretty disappointed with the conference. Couple of ok xbox live platform titles but everything else has put a big MEH! On my face.

At least they won't be going back on all their announcements this year ..... I guess :(

------

But new Lara !!! Yay something good at last... However holiday 2015 ... Back to sleep then :(

-------

Witcher demo looked bit last gen graphically too, erratic framerate, stiff animation and very flat / sparse lighting. To be honest didn't look much better than original Witcher 2 port on 360.

A lot of focus on Cross Platform Titles rather than exclusives too. Not sure this will close the sales gap for Microsoft on the PS4 .. I'm genuinely underwhelmed right now.

They said Halo 2 was redone and you could switch between new and old styles with a button press.

I didn't care much for the last Crackdown. Can't recall why though.

Maybe it was open world problem if you basically having to do the same thing for 12 hours ... I found best bit of Crackdown games was the collecting orbs and levelling up rather than the story or combat .

I'm not sure. Orb collecting was fine (I like doing collectibles). I think it was that it felt way too much like the first game since it was the same exact city.

i don't understand why microsofts biggest presentations were multiplattform titles . while some new IPs simply showed of some CGI trailer like it's 2004 again

sunset overdrive looks like "a game for teenagers as imagined by 50 year olds":
if it gets a busy release timeframe this will tank hard.
also the style looks less comic than before

call of killzone. enough said. ... i'm ready for WW2 again.

the best games from the microsoft presentation were the games from ubisoft IMHO: the divisio still looks ace and the new AC with the french setting is fantastic

witcher looked liked i expected it.

many 1-4 player coop games .. my guess not all of them will be successful

apart of dance central and an indie game no kinect at all.
No Quantum break footage ... and i expected gameplay

edit: ori and the blind forest looked great though .. reminded me of the recent ubi-art engine games

I agree with you. There was a lack of anything majorly exclusive that I could see stemming the tide of PS4 outselling Xbox one. I don't think they've done enough....

Interesting.

I thought they had a hell of a presentation and stood by games, games, games.

They had a nice pace of multiplatform games first and then evolved into the indies which some looked great, and right into the exclusives.

I thought their exclusive lineup looked pretty awesome and has finally made me jump over the fence and will get the new priced XB1 sometime soon. I thought it was a great presentation.

Also, no Kinect at all besides Dance Central? Confirms what we thought that it is RIP for the most part.

Oops, I accidentally fell asleep during the show.

Halo Collection? Good move, but at this point I'd rather play them on PC. If it comes to Steam I'll get it.

A lot of it felt like an apology for the last E3. There were no games, too much focus on streaming/video apps and no focus on indie. This year we had that. But it's a shame it's all the same again. Angry white dudes with same old weapons.

Halo 5... why are they trying to make a serious, emotional story for a man called Master Chief?

Fat Limbo looked okay. But it's an Xbox Indie title... where you can just wait and get it on a console you already have or PC.

Nothing interesting for me at the EA one too so underwhelmed so far. I hope Sony have a good show but they seem to be slowly falling away from that stratospheric show at the last E3. Come on!
