After updating to 10.13.3 I started facing a lot of issues with my macbook pro. It’s the early 2011 15” model with 6gb of ram. During the update my screen was glitching/flickering very hard. After the update I was able to use it twice but now I cannot even get to the login screen.
When I start it the following happens:
1. I hear the starting sound.
2. White color appears.
3. Glitches/flickering appears and constantly moves.
4. The laptop restarts and does the same process.
Sometimes it gets in a loop where the starting sound would repeat and nothing else would happen.
Here is a video I recorded that shows my problem:

I am not sure if it’s a heating problem but when I was able to use it after the update the temperature would go up to 90 just by watching a 720p video on YouTube.

I want to mention that I am unable to send it to Apple since there are no official repair centres in my country so any help that you can give me will be highly appreciated.

I had a late 2011 15" MBP experienced a similar problem. The Radeon GPU had failed and I had it replaced with a new chip which resolved all of the issues.

Thank you for the answers. I ended up upgrading to the 2017 MBP. The thread can be closed/locked.
