I would love to believe this story, but the cable news networks are calling this, "The Rotten Apple" saying the Apple Watch 3's LTE doesn't work and criticizing the 1 hour battery life on phone calls.

I doubt both are completely lying ...

Nah, the media never lies for a story. HAHAHAHAHA.

Everybody in this thread with perfect LTE working on their watches are obviously lying.

Exactly. The Fake News media all aped the Verge story, not realizing how little credibility The Verge has in any topic.

I just got the UPS delivery notice. My black SS Series 3 is waiting for me at home. Going to be a huge spec bump over the Series 0 Black stainless I'm currently wearing!
let me know, rocking the same, but dont see the need to update yet.

So far I'm really loving the differences. Besides the obvious speed improvements, I started a thread with a couple of other niceties: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/happy-benefits-of-series-3-over-series-0.2071471/#post-25104359

Between the brighter screen, better water proofing, and performance enhancements (reflected in some non-obvious ways like I detailed above), I'm glad I made the upgrade.

And one more time, whomever is in charge of product design made a major mistake. Who wants to wear a watch with a red dot??? what is wrong with Apple??

Same thing with the iPhone X. The phone looks very nice, but the Notch is disgusting...

I’ve noticed the red dot on mine exactly twice. When I took it out of the box two nights ago, and just now when I read this post, looked at my watch and reflected, “oh, yeah, I forgot about that”.

I doubt many people care about it at all. I don’t.

And, I don’t have my X yet, so can’t comment on that, though the pics/vids look great to me so far.

I don't have the Verge up on a pedestal and I can take thoughts from different sources and still be rational.

I also value my own opinion about what I like and what is good for me more than someone else's, in regards to me.

Another thought, if you are basing your perception of something you do not have off of another companies thoughts, is that not putting your faith in that company, making one as much of a sheep as someone listening to another company.
Pot or Kettle here?

As someone pointed out, that was sarcastic --> /s stands for sarcasm.

The Verge is currently in full blown, ridicolous Apple bashing mode.

Since the conception of the iWatch I’ve been waiting patiently to jump in.

My wife in particular would like the health aspects since she’s taken to her Fitbit but would like to go to the next level.

She doesn’t see value in spending money on the high end fit bits but last Xmas she mentioned about the S2. As a health accessory how does it compare?

I got the Series 1 Aluminum 42mm when they came out, with the expectation to eventually get a SS one once the platform matured a little bit. Unfortunately, the only SS options I see have LTE, which I don’t want.

Maybe I’m just not looking in the right place.

Probably just a money grab by apple (becoming more and more prevalent nowadays). Wait until next year when they redesign it, and they'll likely have the SS available for both WiFi only and LTE.

Yeah probably. No way I’m paying extra for something that I’m not going to use.

I'll be pretty pissed if they only have the SS in the LTE model even next year though. I plan to buy the SS non LTE lol. Would be seriously redundant to have a silly red dot, heavier device, and a service I'm not using. Plus more money for no reason.

Man if apple could cut down on the time to handoff to lte. Instead of 30 sec, 10 would be great. 5 would be awesome. Under 5 would make me giddy.

It's the Apple way.

Lolololol

I still can't believe the Apple Watch is still even a thing. What next the apple nipple peicring or bolo tie.

A common complaint here. Purchased and returned my aluminum series 3. I will wait until they realize people want stainless without throwing away money on LTE they don’t want,

I have a series 0 stainless steel, and a series 1 aluminum.

The stainless gives you a completely different feeling.
Aluminum looks like a cheap toy.

The Apple Watch 3 Cellular is a convincing first step towards a certain independence of the iPhone, provided not to have too intensive use of the cellular function at the moment.
