Sorry couldn't help it.

iPhone was only released 9 year ago.

Cope with it. Still got the first iPhone in its box.

You paid for your phones and have 100% right to choose how you want to use it.

Some like to rock it naked and toss it around as they REALLY don't care about blemishes. Good for them. Enjoy.

Some slab on a glass protector and case from day 1, as they like to minimize the damage in case they drop their phones. Nothing is wrong with that either. Enjoy.

What is very wrong to me, is when someone goes and uses the phone naked, scratches it, and then BECOMES UPSET about it. They obviously care about the scratches and should not have used the phones naked.

If I remember correctly, there are people every year who claim that their screen on the new iPhone gets scratched more easily than on the last, and there are others who say that their screen has never scratched before, so I honestly don’t think that displays are now less scratch-prone...

Tempered glass screen protector from eBay. Sorted.

Funny thing was, the Chinese protector was thicker and higher quality than the $8 Greatshield from Amazon, and came in a 3-pack.

Make sure you get one with the wider earpiece, protectors for the 6/6S plus will block part of the earpiece.
The ones for the 6s fit the 7, at least mine did.

That's your opinion and your allowed to have it.

However, it is nothing like keeping the phone in the box. Why risk scratching the glass? Its just not worth it. But you have a wonderful day...

The thread is for discussing easily scratched screen. If you put a protector on it, it won't get scratches. End of story. Not sure what's worse? Having a couple fine scratches or preserve the phone in pristine condition then sell it later? Tell you what.. Most buyers won't even notice those tiny scratches. Meanwhile I can enjoy the phone to the fullest. Use it then sell it line to year.

Ummm....what can't I do with my phone that you can. Is there some magical feature that happens if there is no screen protector on it?

PLEASE tell us what this magic feature is.

Its about screens scratching. Mine doesn't.

Have another wonderful day.

You know, I was so protective and OCD with my phone before. Now that I don't care about scratches or anything, I'm really enjoying my phone much better now, and of course naked. I think that's how it's meant to be used, not be over protective over a phone, it's just a device at the end of the day, enjoy it. Just my two cents lol

This is how it should be. People obsess so much over the smallest things. Life is too damn short to care about stuff like this. It's a phone! Use it and enjoy it. Doesn't mean you have to use it as a sanding block.

I have had every iPhone from 3G on and never had a scratched screen. None of them have had cases or screen protectors. All look mint when they're replaced.

In principle, what you said makes sense. But in reality, there're multiple threads of people saying they opted out of the jet black because it will scratch or pick up prints. Meanwhile, whenever I see people with their smartphones in public, 10/10 times they were in cases.

Yes I have noticed. I have two extremely minor hairline scratch on the display already, but only visible under really bright light shined at a specific angle. You can't feel it nor catch it with your finger tho.

Normally I don't get these until I use it for at least half a year so I'm finding their quality is getting worse. In fact I found every year is getting worse and worse since iPhone 4.

dL

Never had any scratches on my iPhone 5 Display, even if after a few falls to the ground. 4 years.

Now i got 2 scratches on my iPhone 7.

I think it's the coating or something, because you can't even feel it with the fingernails.

Annoying.

I really think the Zagg HD Glass+ is an excellent investment.

The main factor being, of course, protection, but also because of the oleophobic coating. Really cuts down on smudges in my experience.

If you're on the fence I'd get it for that reason alone.
