Has anyone noticed that their 7 plus has developed an unusual amount of scratches of the display?
I haven't changed my usage habits with my 7 Plus from my 6S Plus, but my 7 plus already looks like my 6S plus did when I gave it away. Its really bothering me but I don't wanna use one of my AppleCare incidences on something like this.

That's just ****** Corning and Gorilla QC for you. It's not just an Apple thing. It's for every cellphone out there with either of these guys. I had a Note 7 (Rest in peace) that supposedly had "very strong Corning glass," but scratched once I put it in my front pocket of my dress shirt (Nothing in it).

Yup. I've noticed. The back as well doesn't hold up as well on the matte black 7plus. Oh well. I'll be getting the new one when it comes out anyways. Not worth obsessing over to me.

Definitely seems like I've acquired scratches much easier on my JB 7+ than my 6S+. Not a big deal though, can't tell unless in certain light angle.

If it bothers you that much, you clearly should not have used your phone without a protector. The good news is, a screen protector will hide some of the light scratches on the screen. Give it a try.

Tempered glass screen protector from eBay. Sorted.

Funny thing was, the Chinese protector was thicker and higher quality than the $8 Greatshield from Amazon, and came in a 3-pack.

Make sure you get one with the wider earpiece, protectors for the 6/6S plus will block part of the earpiece.

That's your opinion and your allowed to have it.

However, it is nothing like keeping the phone in the box. Why risk scratching the glass? Its just not worth it. But you have a wonderful day...
I agree I have a glass protector on my phone to prevent getting scratches, I don't known any ppl complain that their phone is getting scratches it's common sense that if you don't put some kind of screen protector on your iPhone it's gonna scratch.

I've had my 7+ for 3 weeks to a month or so now. No scratches and it slides in/out of pocket frequently. Been out on boat, motorcycle, etc and no issues. I have a simple clear cover in case I drop it which I may have done once.

Because it is possible to build a glass front that is very scratch resistant. Screen protectors reduce the beauty of the phones smooth lines. I am very fussy but had a 6s+ for a year with not a single hairline visible under a spotlight. But my first 7+ had micro scratches within a week. That one had a display with a corner that was getting dimmer so I returned and put a Zagg protector on the replacement. But I don't like how it looks now. I feel the coating they put on the display is not as good as it can be and that is what is scratching.

Not sure why because of all the reports of it, but I've never had any scratches on the screens of any of my iPhones. No screen protectors.

Got some scratches on my Apple Watch screen, though. Got it used and came that way.

Same here!

No scratches on my 7 yet either which I've had since launch day. I hope this holds out as well as my 5s which is three years old with no scratches on the screen and no screen protector.

You know, I was so protective and OCD with my phone before. Now that I don't care about scratches or anything, I'm really enjoying my phone much better now, and of course naked. I think that's how it's meant to be used, not be over protective over a phone, it's just a device at the end of the day, enjoy it. Just my two cents lol

Totally agree..

.. although it's nice when they are pretty resistant to scratches though!

Just watched a scratch test video of the iPhone 7 and it's resistant to level 6 so keys etc shouldn't scratch the screen. Strange how some users are getting scratches so easily then

I think the Jet Black has character with scratches and such. It personalizes it More.

Have owned iPhones for over 10 years and never scratched a display and do not expect it to happen now.

No screen protectors for me!
