$435 on CL back on September 28th. AT&T Black 32GB iPhone 4. No fees and no shipping to pay since used CL. Excellent condition with box and accessories + a cheap TPU case ($5) included. Was on 4.3.3 an jailbroken. The kid said he planned to unlock it.

Used old phone that I had lying around in a drawer for 2 weeks.

Figure had I sold it on eBay, I would have had to get around $495 (12% total fees for ebay + paypal), so very happy. Listed and sold (cash in hand) within 5 hours.

Just curious... no one in this thread has mentioned what OS level their phones are on... it seems to me those who left their phones on an unlockable untethered jail break version would get more money then those on ios5, but who knows..

Mine was a Apple unlocked 16GB Black i4 running iOS5... £300/$475

Not exactly on topic but...

I sold my Black 32GB iPhone 3GS (locked to Rogers) for $500 cash last year. I haven't sold my iPhone 4 yet.

I'm jealous. I sold my black AT&T 16GB on Craigslist for $375, in mint condition. The box and original accessories sat in my closet for 16 months, untouched, so they were in brand new condition as well. Maybe I need to go the eBay route next time.

But, I can't complain. It covered the $318 I spent on my new 32GB 4S.

ummmmmm, don't forget about the $2,500 you are going to spend on your new 2yr contract - ;)

I sold my 32GB iPhone 4 (Verizon CDMA) for $390 with shipping.

I was happy with that...paid $325 for new 4S with 2-year agreement, bought new Otterbox case, and I still made money!

Sold my white 16gb for 350, black 32gb for 325. I then bought a white 4s 16 gb for $450 on craigslist, and the same day traded it for an a brand new white iphone 4 32gb that is unlockable + $350. I ain't mad.

I wonder if there is warranty left on any of these iPhone 4 that are being resold.

And what firmware and baseband. That makes a hugh difference in the resell market.

But than again there are a lot of dumb people on eBay/Craigslist.

No warranty left to me decreases the value by at least $50. It costs $149 for out of warranty iPhone 4 replacement So I would be hesitant to pay $400 for used iPhone 4.

I sold my black AT&T 32 gb iPhone 4 for $325 and bought a new white AT&T iPhone 4s 32 gb for $320 on a upgrade. Could have gotten more for it, but I wanted to sell fast.

I have 2 days left on mine on ebay and have no bites. Tried selling on craigslist for $275, but everyone flaked out.

Best is to go for 1 day listing with $1 start price, no reserve (as pointed out by another member). With so many phone on e-bay, buyers have to scroll so many pages to get to your item. Very unlikely anybody will be bid on your item until last days.

Also you will get high return only for first few days. I sold one of my iPhone4 on 10/3, one day before 4s launch. Shipped out on 10/4 after activating my new 4s.

Sold black 32 gig ip4 for 350 the other day.

Regret that I didn't sell it before the 4S was announced, probably would of gotten 1000 dollars more.

Probably will do that next year for the 6th iPhone.

I have sold over 90 cell phones on eBay, you aren't sellling your phone because you are listing it wrong. I got $475 for my 16GB black.

1. Make you bid $0.99 with no reserve

2. 24hour auction so you iPhone is on the first 9 pages not page 742

3. Add a buy it now along with the auction for a bit more than your willing to sell (I did $500)

4. Use a good photo atleast 2 unless you have sold lots of electronics and have the feedback to back it up

5. Use Fedex or UPS. Never use USPS they lose packages and are out of the world expensive. I like Fedex home delivery.

6. Give free shipping, absorb the costs in your price. Offer shipping like this,

Fedex Home Delivery - Free -
Fedex Express Saver - $10
Fedex 2nd Day Air - $25
Fedex Standard Overnight - $40 or $35 depending on packaging.

7. Make sure to mention the warranty especially if you have/had Apple Care.

8. List any cases that come with it and say; ex. Free Otterbox Defender Case $50 dollar value mint condition.

9. Either don't accept international buyers or accept them. Just make sure to get international buyers to understand that you won't guarantee the iPhone and that international buyers will have to pay extra shipping costs.

10. Always say you ship out in one day. Even if you can't, because you could always print out the shipping label then drop it off on a future date. Just don't take 3 days if they paid for overnight.

Yep good advise bc I got $500 for an iPhone 4 Black 16GB an it had all original stuff, threw in cases and free S&H and well paid off the ebay fees etc, put a nice chunk back into my pocket since I paid $199 plus tax.

Follow his suggestion and you will do well.
