I have no interest in Apple Music even if it was free.

I wouldn't take it if it were free either, but not because I don't think I'd enjoy the music discovery or having access to all the new music and the massive catalog.

I wouldn't take it if it were free, or otherwise, because I'm not letting Apple (who clearly haven't figured out how to "match" tracks and not destroy people's libraries), or the labels that are clearly in cahoots (and are just waiting to slap DRM back on anyway they can), anywhere near my massively large, lovingly curated library.

Apple putting the death lock on every other streaming service out there and doing it through the Telcos.
Apple have 2, maybe 3 telco partners, globally.
Spotify has had about 20. Napster, 5 or 6. Deezer, over 25 - including EE, for about 5 years (started in the time of Orange UK). 'Death lock' might be quick judgement.

I changed from EE to Three.
I pay a third of the amount I was paying beforehand for free 4G, Unlimited Data (down from 4GB 3G), more minutes and more texts. Even as a user of Apple Music I would never go back to EE.
You also are eligible for 6 months of Deezer Premium+ for free.

When you have that deep pockets? No wonder. I hope UK networks would also offer free unlimited streaming.
Three have unlimited 4G data plans with 12GB roaming in 18 countries.

Apple Music could be free forever and I'd still pay for Spotify. How about instead of giving us more free months you try improving the experience?
What happened to just making great products that sold themselves?
If they have to bundle it with a telco tariff, they blew it.

PS: great way to attract Android users though.

Ah yes, I used that when it was first offered, tried it alongside Apple Music but never used it!

Yet ANOTHER reason to go with Three!

I've recently left EE and gone to Vodafone. I got a years free Spotify and 4GB of data to use abroad every month. 2 things EE are unable to offer.

Yeah, you're right, used to get 20GB abroad on voda, I've been with them for years, but in the last year or so, customer service (or lack thereof, coupled with the horrendous mis-billing issues on their 'new system' aka siebel one-view & geneva billing) has gone to pot & tbh got sick of seeing gprs on the phone, along with slashing their allowances, think I'll jump over to EE for 15GB abroad, I used the netflix add-on voda had, but tbh network has gone downhill fast. I've no interest in apple music, just a phone that's meant to work esp. with visual voicemail & the new scripted version in iOS 10 that voda have the arrogance to refuse to offer, don't start me on wi-fi calling either, changed times it is!

Watch what happens to internet access when 3G disappears - no internet / iMessages as no 2G to fall back on, network ok when working, iPhone like a brick when not!

'Abroad', as in… West Wittering beach near Chichester (for example)? :D - http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/people/hollywood-star-hits-beach-to-film-telly-advert-1-5427036

(And this latest ad was made by Saatchi & Saatchi London, so there's a good chance it was filmed there - which it looks like it may have been).

In my defence when I first viewed it I was half-asleep and on my iPhone it looked like it'd been filmed abroad!

I know EE have tended to film their adverts here in the UK previously; however there are some companies out there where it's made out to be here in the UK *but* it has been filmed out of the country.

I'll stick with three thanks. Bacon in that red onesie with Britney is enough to put anyone off

Yet even with a 3 month trial for a billion active iOS users Apple haven't even come close. The competition is good, I hope the best app wins.
Are you kidding me? Getting to HALF of Spotify's subscribers in ONE year is growth Spotify could never dream of.

Here's a plot showing user growth of the lifespan of each service. Someone hasn't come close to the other. I'll let you figure out which.

Your graph makes it abundantly clear who's winning. The only way Apple will overtake Spotify is if they buy them

I'm just wondering how this deal works if you are already paying for Apple Music? I'm not an EE customer (yet), but they are doing a SIM only deal with 16GB of Data, Unlimited Minutes, Unlimited Texts, for £19.99 per month, with 6 months of Apple Music thrown in. It says 'new or upgrading customers' only - but I'm assuming this refers to 'EE' customers, not 'Apple Music customers'. Really not quite sure how this works in reality if your Apple ID is already linked to an Apple Music subscription. Anyone know?
[doublepost=1476116035][/doublepost]Actually, I've just answered my own question... I found it in EE Apple Music Terms and Conditions. Point 18 in the PDF reads:

'If you are an existing Apple Music member you will need to cancel your existing subscription directly with iTunes. If you do not, you will continue to be charged by iTunes. '

So I guess, once you cancel the service in iTunes and then reactivate the service on your iPhone containing your EE Sim, you should get the 6 months free.
