Try some test printing. I suspect you don't need that app to print.

That doesn't make much sense. I can add printers no problem and I've never installed that HP app. Man HP strikes again.

EDIT: Wait.. what +? My Printer Setup Utility doesn't have a +. You mean the Add button? Does "Add Printer" from the Printers pull-down menu work?

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed off right now. I'm not reinstalling this OS, not a second before I call HP and seriously let them have it. Do you even HAVE that app that I just deleted? Check that folder please.

Any thoughts on what can be done to fix this?

btw, again, thank you for your help so far! Like I said before, I really appreciate it.

Nope, I don't have that app. Never had it AFAIK.

Just to make sure, you're trying to Add a printer from the Printer Setup Utility?

****! Printer Setup Utility is gone. (Should be in /Applications/Utilities correct?)

Can I get this from my Tiger disk?

No problem. Glad we got it eventually. I'm not shocked that HP is still turning out pieces of **** software. Nice printers, asstastic software.

That problem went on for almost 8 months, I'm so glad to not have to run TinkerTool and relaunch the Dock everytime I boot up, login, or wake my Mac. That was so irritating.

I should still call HP just to bitch.

I'm guessing here, but I wouldn't waste my time. Methinks they'd just point the finger at Apple for something or other.
If they haven't already in some FAQ or something. I wouldn't actually waste my time either, but it would make me feel better. Fortunately, knowing my Mac is no longer affected by some strange issue makes me feel good enough. :)
