HEALTHY SUPER PROTEIN EGG SANDWICH:

English Muffin (Whole wheat if you wanna be really healthy)
Egg Whites
Fat Free Cheese (orange cheese)
lowfat ham

cook up the egg whites (scramble)
melt the cheese on top
toast the muffins
fry the ham in a pan (no oil)

build it like a sandwich

i eat 2 or 3 for breakfast every day with a big glass of milk

nutrition:

17g Protein, 30 carbs, 4g fat per sandwich

so i get about 65g protein, 100 carbs, 20g fat each morning (including teh glass of milk, which is big)

scrambbled eggs with salt and pepper (nothing else please) together with a bread
but i can't stand it for breakfast .. i'll only take a boiled egg where the yellow part is still mostly liquid and eat it with the spoon together with salt and a dark buttered bread (for those long sunday morning brunches)
or complete hard eggs for eastern.. apart from that i avoid eating eggs .. hey are in nearly everything anyways ;)

eggs + bacon for breakfast is something rather english/american.. msot people here prefer buttered bread (in all varieties) with a sweet jam (sp?) made from various fruits ... or some others cheese and "Aufschnitt" (wtf ... no english word for that ? it includes all sorts of thin cut sausages/ham/bacon)
thou stuff like cereals etc. are getting more popular under the younger population

I like them in almost every way (except for poached). But they are best scrambled in a breakfast burrito from the Atlantic Grill near First Beach in Newport, RI.

I like them almost every way. Hard boiled, soft boiled, scrambled, fried (over medium), in omelets, quiche, frittatas, burritos, quesadillas, sandwiches, and even Egg McMuffins. I have even had green eggs and ham (scrambled with Pesto).

This morning I had some leftover grits and mixed them with an egg, then fried them up in butter like pancakes.

After reading this thread, I was inspired to make an egg, potato and sausage fritata.. it was delicious. :)

I like mine poached with toast.

My question is: What in god's name is a Deviled Egg?

Over easy so they're nice and runny, or soft boiled. Also a fan of omelettes (runny as well) with onions, cheddar cheese, tomatoes...mmmm

If you're wondering still what is in that yellow yummy goop...

The GoodEgg.com has this recipe listed:

Classic Deviled Eggs

Serve for any occasion, whether it be a wedding feast, a picnic in the park, or for lunch or dinner!

Items Needed: (for 12 Deviled Eggs)

6 hard boiled Eggs (large)
3 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon mustard (honey mustard is great!)
1 teaspoon vinegar
salt & pepper to taste
paprika (optional)

To boil eggs, place eggs in enough cold water to cover completely, bring to a rolling boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to a lower MEDIUM BOIL and cook an additional 12 minutes.
Promptly chill eggs so yolks stay bright yellow.

Remove shells from eggs, and halve lengthwise with a knife.

Carefully remove the yolks, and place in a medium bowl.

Mash yolks with a fork, and add remaining ingredients.

Very carefully spoon mixture back into the egg white halves. Garnish with a light sprinkling of paprika (optional).

Seems to be a lot of work to make Deviled Eggs. I hope they are as good as they look.

I think that's why most of the people I know who like them just go out and buy them! But they are yummy.

Sigh. I'm starving, tummy just rumbled and the bf is still snoring. :(

Eewwww.... Eggs...

I'll eat eggs if they're in something that I have no control over (someone's cake, in pasta, blablabla) but not by themselves.. thats just... eww...

I SCRAMBLE SILKEN TOFU! IT'S DELICIOUS!

Whenever I'm cooking, I also replace the egg with some funky egg substitute I got from the crazy dirty hippie store. I LOVE IT. Makes things so much more deliciouser.

Mmm... soy-milk french toast... *drool*

Not really that much work. It's also not the recipe I am used to. Just mustard, mayo and the egg yellows. Most of the work is peeling the eggs. When I make them i dump the yellows, mayo and mustard into a ziploc bag. Mush it up by hand then snip off the corner and use it to just squeeze the mixture into the crater.

My mom used to call them defiled eggs. Immensely popular at church suppers because nobody ever made them at home.

The New Jersey Special:

Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese on a roll or bagel. These are sold everywhere in NJ and it is an awesome sandwich. Definitely my favorite breakfast.
