I haven't been sick for quite some time now - definitely been over 2 years, but how long exactly I'm not sure.

I'm not sure if it's simply that my immune system is in great shape or I am so busy that my body doesn't have time to be sick... ;)

There's also some joke in there about "An Apple a day..." but I'm sure it's already been mentioned earlier in this thread...

How do people do that? I get sick at least once a winter. Atleast a few times a year. I hate it. It's probably the foods I eat. I eat somewhat healthy (a lot better than I used to) but i definitely don't eat a balanced diet.

I think I have the flu... fever, soar throat, soar joints, dry cough, stuffy nose, the whole 9 yards. I'm sick and I feel horrible, I talked to a few friends and they feel similar. Of course this happened Thanksgiving night, great timing eh?

I just hope I don't have to miss school, I hate playing catch-up. Ah great, I think my lips are chapped too *sigh* :(

Sounds like someone's worse than me. I'm lucky that I got sick after all the TG partying was done. I gotta say, all that I did this weekend, it was worth it. I'm paying for it now...

Yeah, I changed my lifestyle a few years ago now - started going to the gym, eating healthy, cutting out all the crap out of my diet, etc. It's amazing what the body can do when you give it the right fuel to stay healthy. I don't know if that's the sole reason why I've been so healthy lately, but I know that it definitely contributes.

I had a bad cough/cold recently, but it eventually went away. I'm glad actually, because due to asthma, in the past any cold would have turned into a really bad chest infection and I would have needed antibiotics. I felt my chest hurting but I fought it off eventually, which hopefully means I'm healthier than I used to be. :) Then again, I tend to get ill in holidays - I think I work too hard and my body puts off being ill, and then the minute I relax - BAM - flu or something.

I suppose I'm eligible for the flu jab, being the wheezy type, but I feel kind of bad if the supplies are low and little old ladies need it. And I've never had it before, so I don't see any particular need to start now.

I'm in the same boat. My company provides free flu shots to all 4000 employees, however I never get them - I've never needed one before, and there are other people out there who would probably benefit more from getting one than myself.

Well, after a week with three (out of 15) sick kids, my throat is a little sore this morning. Not a good sign.

I spent a half-hour in the steamroom at the gym this morning hoping to get some hot air through my respiratory system and will super hydrate today and go sweat some more tonight.

Hope I don't get a bug. :(

After 2 days of rest, I'm feelin' better. This is gotta be the fastest recovery for me ever. :D Let's just hope I don't get sick again.

Well I'm glad all of you are feeling better. I'm still sick unfortunetly, I sound like a wounded wookie everytime I cough and my nose is dripping like a leaky faucet :(

So far I have kept it at bay with Cold-Eeeze™.

I've found if you use this stuff right when your throat starts to tickel a bit you can usually hold it off.

That and the steamroom helps.

I've been overseas and have not kept up on the latest pharmaceutical notices. So last week, I took Zicam. Both Zicam and Cold-Eeze I just discovered are in litigation over complaints of extended loss of smell and taste after use? http://www.classactionamerica.com/Current-Cases/zicam-cold-eeze-lawsuit.asp What's up with that? Is that dated news that's been proven wrong?

*shrug*

Most of the stuff on my diet list tastes like crap anyway.

You and me both. Back from the doc's (Dx'd w/ Acute Bronchitis) with an antibiotic, a steroid, vials for my nebulizer, and an Rx for a chest X-ray... had the X-ray this morning and haven't heard back, so I'm guessing it isn't pneumonia yet. I'll check with the doc's office tomorrow to be sure.

I'm not completely better, my head still gets dizzy and I think I still got a little fever going, but it's alot better than yesterday. I went to work today, I'm so fatigued now... Time to rest. Hope you guys feel better soon.
