I want a Mac that’s so fast that I literally have to do nothing and all my work is already done for me when I open it well maybe it can sense me and open for me too...

Oh sorry that model was delayed due to COVID, supply chain challenges.

Oh and I'm referring to COVID-872, set to hit in 3029.

Thanks for your patience.

I suspect a new 13 inch and mac mini as first Apple AS.

Would be great to see the 16 incher, not because I want one now, but because I want them to get the QA started..

I really hope for a 13,3" actually. I mean, some will soon have an iPhone with a 6,7" display (!!! That's almost like an old iPad mini smacked on your cheek)... 12" feels definitely too small.

What seems to make most sense for November is ARM 13" and MBAir. MBP16" gets 10th gen Intel, maybe a 1080p cam.

The 12" MacBook was available in four colors in 2018 - Silver, Space Grey, Gold and Rose Gold.

So perhaps the new ASi laptop will also come in four colors and then the fifth would be the 24" iMac or the Mac Mini in a single color?
Each AXXXX model code is pretty broad and includes all available colors.

For example, the A1707 I'm typing on now covers the 15" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar in both colors, for the base and high-end config, and for the late-2016 and mid-2017 refreshes.

The current 2 port and 4 port 13" models do have different model numbers. Who knows whether that distinction will still exist in the new lineup.

I think we're looking at a lot different Macs.

But five new ASi models?

Everyone presumes a 12" MacBook replacement is coming and maybe a 24" iMac that MCK rumored back in March.

If they replaced all the Intel iGPU models that would be:

  • 12" MacBook
  • 13" MacBook Air
  • 14" MacBook Pro
  • 24" iMac
  • Mac Mini

Some of the models have been in the database since June 2019, I'm guessing it's a placeholder for e.g. "the next Mac mini, whenever that is". Doesn't mean this exact event.

Nice legwork.

The numbers gradually increase over the years. I wonder whether the sequence indicates release date or when the project started internally and got a codename.
