Electrical Buzzing noise coming from Studio Display

Resurrecting this thread a few years later to inform people.

I originally had this problem on my 2022 ASD when charging my car (Smart EQ). I moved the display to my office when I don't have any issues.

I now purchased a second ASD, refreshed 2025 model, and the buzzing noise issue has not been fixed.

What is "refreshed 2025 model"?

I have three 1st Gen models purchased this year just before / when the new model came out and have zero "buzzing noise" or any other noise to that matter. Running them with Air 13 M4 16/256. These monitors are completely silent.

There is no buzzing noise to be fixed by Apple. Your problem appears to be very unique and it must have to do with your own setup somehow.

@veroguru their problem is well documented from numerous people. The first unit I had bought developed loud buzzing in the second week. Knock on wood, my second one has been good for years now.

"refreshed 2025 model" means the slightly updated Studio Display announced last year alongside the Studio XDR.

The buzzing noise is so "unique to me" that you are replying in a 8 page thread on the very subject.

It does not create reliability problems and it happens to a limited amount of users, it depends on electrical interference in the circuit: in my case, as for many others, it's only noticeable if I'm charging my electric car. However my Studio Display is the only electronic device in my home to show this behaviour, so I believe some form of shielding could prevent the issue.
