Vapor 4 vs. Vapor Frost

I was wondering the difference between the two. They both look the same, except the vapor 4 is available in multiple colors.

Frost is white , not silver .... this is great comparasion

So, this is where you guys went. I guess this topic is hard to kill.
Doesn't look like you're off to a great start. How about we all keep our cool and remain positive this time around. I promise to try and do my best. Any word from Mr Greenburg and his continued use of the vapor 4? I want to know if I should kill it or keep it. I really do love the looks.

My black-red case arrived at my office this morning and it’s so beautiful. Also the reception is very good so far. I will test the GPS in Hong Kong and Shenzhen over the next few days and let you all know. I like this much better than the Incase I replaced it with. They built it with thought and quality. I would hate to have a problem with it but no big lose because I only paid $29.

few weeks ago i ordered 2 vapor cases at ebay. the seller has only 3 feedbacks so i was a skeptic about it. but after a few messages, he assured me that this is an original vapor. price was $85 which is cheaper than the usual $95 up pricing at ebay.

when i got the cases, it wasn't original! i message the seller and told him about it. he said "this is an ORIGINAL HONG KONG VERSION of VAPOR! lol! i said, well original vapor is from USA not HONG KONG! sent back the cases and got my refund! lol!

then Vapor sent me an email that its available now for ordering, no waiting! i ordered just one to be sure! lol!

I got the vapor 4 silver/silver a couple weeks ago, and it has been the best case I have ever had. It's sleek and beautiful, not to mention durable. I was running on a treadmill today and my iphone fell off, landed on the track at 9mph, flew off, skidded, and hit a wall. Not a scratch. I have not had any problems with the reception. Overall it's an amazing case and I highly suggest it.

So for the people who have signal issues with vapor, does the problem stem from the antenna touching the metal of the vapor or simply just having the case on cause the problems.

I just bought an all metal knockoff and was thinking of lining the inside with a thin coat of liquid latex to completely isolate the metal from the phone. Was wondering if you guys might think this would work.

It's a combination of both. The case touching the antenna will essentially destroy signal, but even when isolated with something, completely surrounding the antenna with aluminum does degrade the signal. It's been shown in all of the aluminum cases.

After many tests. I find that lining doesnt help the problem;-(
Very unfortunate. I love the all alum look.
It's back to atomic hybrid with vapor cap for me ;-)

Interestingly , the next element pro case has plastic part at the lower left corner of the phone.!??? We'll see .

ordered mine last jan. 23 direct from element case, got it today jan. 28. i live in Bangkok, Thailand. quite fast actually. i got black/red. no signal issues for me here.

i'm wondering if my beats by dre solos will work with the vapor case?

They will, at least the case I had (AR-15) fit my studios fine and i would guess its the same plug.

Anybody test out the new Chroma yet? I'm interested to see if it has any changes or if its the same signal sucking case as its always been.

cool, it didnt seems like it would fit from the pics, but i guess thats good to hear! thanks

Vapor Nickel Case - Pics

Just received the Nickel case and incredibly impressed with quality/look/feel. Actually looking forward to seeing how the tarnish affects the appearance - kind of like the old industrial look of dark tarnished metal. Here are some pics I took on my laptop. I was hoping to show the difference between the silver metal laptop face and the slightly darker (bronze-ish?) color of the nickel case. It easiest to see in "Vapor Nickel 2.jpg"

Very Pleased.

Great photography -- sure looks purty. DSLR?

Just wish this case wouldn't ... well, we all know what it does. Best of luck with yours. :)

Thanks. And yes - originally I was considering the 007 case, but when I saw the images posted earlier in this thread of the Nickel beginning to tarnish, I was hooked! Personally I think the visual combination of the sleek black, high-tech iphone 4 surrounded by darkened and distressed, old industrial looking metal is WAY to appealing to pass up. And the fact that it will gradually change its appearance as it becomes more tarnished, just adds to the beauty. To me, it's the ultimate in cool.
