I doubt that will be the winning bid. And if the final bid is anything above 130, I would rather order from element and get a brand new one. Also noticed the auction does not include a back suede plate. I don't personally care much for it but just saying.

Not too sure. But I assume taping the sides is only gonner help with reception, but I have no issues with that.

All in all it is a beautiful case and I no longer use my GPS as much as I use to so I'll be keeping it. However it certainly is not a case for everyone, especially if you someone who is highly dependent on you iPhone GPS for direction. From my experience, the case does make the GPS fairly eccentric.

I'm getting similar results with my GPS. At first, it seemed spot on. But for the past two days when using it, I'm getting drops where it's unable to reacquire my location for quite a while. I'm also on my second black/silver one (Element swapped out the first one due to bad spots in the black finish), and I'm now seeing silver spots show up on the black finish. In hindsight, the all silver would have been the better choice. That way I wouldn't have to worry about silver showing through the black.

I just made the same trip again and although it wasn't as bad as last night, GPS is still somewhat eccentric. Pity, it's such a fine looking case.

don;t worry. they will fix it next time round. :) that's how they ensure you to buy the next revision! :)
 
Hi, i just bought 2 vapor 4 cases
-the black one , i bought from a apple store in Hong Kong, and it was supposed to be original one.
-the silver one , i bought through a store in Singapore and he the seller also guaranteed to be original too.

first of all if you wondering why i didnt buy from element case straight away is because the shipping fee to my country is quite high and the custom tax in my country is very high too.

i bought those 2 cases at arround US 80 the official price from the element case , so i think it will be original, not those counterfeit ones.

How ever , after some inspections, i noticed there are differences between the two

now im really confused which one is original and which one is not
maybe both fake ones ?
maybe both original just different batch ?
im so confuse
both the seller guarantee that their product is original and willing to give me 100% money back guarantee , if i can provide evidence that theirs are not original.

so please help me

the screw on the left is from the silver one and the right are from the black
the black box is from the black one and the white box is from the the silver one.
i noticed that they have a little bit differences in cutting,
especially around the corners,
if you see in the picture you can see the differences in the design

so please i really hope some one can tell me which one is fake and which one is not ?

i dont want to spend my hard earned money to buy something aint worth it.
and the both of the store allows me to return the case if i can prove that the case is fake.

but i need to do it as soon as possible.

and another thing
the screws and the allen key from the silver unit looks more Chrome than the ones from the black unit.
the black's unit screws and allen key are more matt looking .
if that helps.

another thing is that they both are not that "orecise" in the joint near the power button, where the "frame" meet the "cap" is not 100% persent perfectly aligned.
i dont know how its supposed to be as most of the picture on the net shows different colour frame+cap combinations, where both mine is same colour so it maybe looked more obvious, and in the silver one it even looked even more obvious cause maybe the coulour and the reflections that makes it like that.

From what I can tell, the silver is authentic while the black looks like a knock off. The silver case is identical in design (size and locations of foam, cutting etc) and packaging to mine.
 
I was in Hong Kong a couple months ago and the white ones were all over the the night market shops. I got several of them for about $23 bucks each. The box looks exactly like the white box you have in the picture. If i were to guess, that would be the fake but you know what....these things are pretty good quality so for all we know they may come from the same source. The only reason it would be fake is because it wasn't sold through the legal channels.
 
according to the pros here in bkk, the black box is also original, but its made in china. its the authorized chinese original version, and the white box is the original US version. make sense?

Looks like black fake and silver fake.
