Element Vapor Case

I haven't used the carbon back because it covers up the apple logo. If it had been a insert instead of a sticker I think it would be more popular. I have installed 5 of the SGP skins and about 10 of the lucky labs Teksure skins on the IPhone 4. They are both really good the only diffrent I can see is the Teksure carbon back covers more of the phone while the SGP leaves a lot more of the iPhone glass exposed. If I was buying it to go with the element case I would use the lucky labs skin. If it was the apple bumper I would use the SGP
 
I went ahead and pre-ordered this case. I also heard that a few lucky individuals have been able to just order the case without waiting for the pre-order confirmation. I figured I would try my luck with that.

Is this the correct website to place the order? Why does ElementalCase have two websites, one for pre-orders and one for the actual ordering?

I signed up for pre-order July 29 and still haven't heard anything. I just emailed them later in the day yesterday to see what is going on. I stated how I see people that are after me have been able to order and some without a pre-order code so I would like to be updated on my status. So far no answer.
 
I will ship you my personal case for 100 bucks to your front door! It's all black.

I signed up to be on the pre-order list on 7/7. The pre-order notification and code was sent to me on 9/2 which I learned then that I was in group #5.

Decided to not order the case quite a while before they sent me the code due to people having such mixed results with the case (reception). Going to stick with my free Apple bumper for a while. Especially with the rumors that Apple may have a final fix for antenna issues at the end of the month when the free case offer expires.

What fix? I appreciate that the phone is flawed but any fix by Apple to later runs , say by applying a non-conductive coating over the antennae, is going to cause such a *****torm that will make what has preceded it look like a very minor blip. Forget the costs incurred up to now with the free case program. This will run into several hundred million. On the one hand you are going to have a good percentage of the several million who have already purchased the phone demanding "the fix". On the other hand you are going to see some really pissed off Apple shareholders who will scream about the hit to the stock price and the charges on earnings.
 
Ordered in July. Asked for a refund in August. Sent an email saying it was refunded, but haven't received anything yet. Still waiting on a refund. Had a PayPal dispute but I've been so busy that it expired. No emails, no answers on the phone. :mad:

I'm not predicting the outcome at all. I doubt that they'll offer free cases forever either. I'm only saying that I decided to wait before spending my money because I want to see what happens at the end of the month.

And the main reason for me getting a case (which I have never had a case for previous gens of the iPhone) is highly related to reception. I dislike cases. The Element Case actually looks cool. But the results are decidedly mixed here, it's an expensive case, and I've lived without it for a really long time and am interested is seeing what else the company does itself as it eventually catches up with demand. YMMV.

My main point in posting was in response to the folks wondering about getting their order coupon (or whatever you wish to call it). It took almost 2 months for me, although I'd hope that time lag will start to drop as EC catches up.
 
2 weeks in - 1 dropped call - 1 situation where internet did not work - 300 calls made, Pandora plays for hours, bluetooth headset works fine.

Still happy.

Hm, I just e-mailed them this evening telling them to cancel my order and provide me with a refund. Like you, I ordered the Vapor case in July and still haven't received it. During my wait, I've come to find that I prefer my iPhone 4 without a case as the signal degradation issue isn't much of an issue at all. Besides, I've read on here that the Vapor case itself degrades the signal.

Hopefully Element Case won't dick me around on the refund. If they do, I'm calling the BBB and PayPal and will encourage everyone else on here to do the same. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I'm living way up north in Fort McMurray. I didn't realize how crappy my reception was until I switched to bell. My bars are staying the same with or without case with Rogers I
was losing 3-4 bars sitting in the same seat.
Rogers sucks. It keep dropping calls too. My upload and down load speeds are way faster.

I'm sure it is. I just noticed a lot of issues with Rogers the past 4 months. I called them and they said nothing changed on their network but my 3gs and IPhone 4 weren't working right. if your consistently getting 4-5 you will be good. my phone was dropping into edge. I bought my Iphone 4 from apple for full pop. I have to pay out my 3GS contract but it will be nice not be in an effing contract for once in my life.

Wanna see how the silver/black case looks in the phone... I just can't decide between that combination and the black/red one.

Yep - I'm in group 5 as well and I have to make up my mind today. Pretty sure I am going to pass. I'd like to see more insulation on the inside first. Maybe Element will start doing that after they get some more feedback. I can wait. I like the cases I already have. The Excitement died down a while ago for me.
 
Still caseless in canada...awaiting elementcase to respond to my email and if they are going to honour their end of the bargain...if not, asking for my refund and if that fails a paypal dispute will be filed...now if they only shipped with proper tracking like any other company does (especially for $25USD) we wouldn't have this problem.

its been over 2 months since I've paid for this and its been nearly a month since it "shipped"

I just wanna get this elementcase fiasco over and done with already...:mad:
 
Well I'm in group #5 and have paid up, so now I'm playing the waiting game.... Said on order they start shipping today the 7th, so will see.

Crazy,crazy,crazy. They have done this to a lot of people. I don't understand how some people got it in 2 weeks and others are still waiting after two months. I can't wait to see how long it will take pre orderes to get sorted out and shipped. It's a neat case and all but for the hassle and the draw backs it's not worth going through all this hassle.
I like mine but if I had to do it all again I would have taken a pass and waited until better versions were available with much faster processing.
