Element Vapor Case

I'd wouldn't wast my bandwidth and fix it myself... and totally fill in the area(s) with your selected product. As shown I used 3M VHB Heavy Duty Mounting Tape. After this mod I removed ALL EC's foam and replaced it totally with 3M VHB.

UFC, you my friend have a lot of Element Vapor cases. Are you an employee by any chance? Haha just messing with ya. I had to ask before Johnny did. I think you are better off using a good double sided tape and leaving the plastic that touches the sides of the phone on . The magic foam Element uses gets compressed to much from what I have seen. Email element and ask for a new colour side cap you don't have for free to make up for their lack of quality control.
What is your favorite of your Vapor's?
 
If I was an employee and sent out a case like that I would have fired myself. I could fix it myself but I have waited this long to order and its really not my job. They need to make this right. As for my favorite, I gave the fiance the nickel and it looks great. The 007 is pretty good looking too but I think my favorite is the ar15 which I am currently using. It's simple but so stealthy looking. I don't really like flashy things, hints the reason I gave the wife the nickel but the ar15 is just awesome to me. That's probably my favorite. I also have two frost that are sitting here, the red one and the graphite one. The graphite one I really don't care for. The red one is pretty bad ass so I haven't decided which one or one's I will keep, maybe all of them.

I use pinstriping tape from decalzone.com - very adhesive and malleable . Conforms well. A brand new razor blade cleans up the edges perfect:

Looks great for insulating. What are you doing for the cushioning factor?

Hey Zornet, You seem to be using your Frost/ Graphite. Most users are saying they find it kinda boring. What do you think vs your other Element Vapors.

I have that case also and its not really boring its just different. That's the only way I can describe it. It looks good but not as good as some others. I really have mixed emotions on this case. But its not bad.

I'm going to need to pickup this pin-striping tape and use it in conjunction with my 3M VHB :D. GOOD call glen :apple:.

I've seen that some feel a bit bored with the Frost / Graphite. Not I in the slightest, my best case yet. The competitors may indeed have better costumer service, but I've got my doubt if they'll match EC's quality.

I have the 007 case and I am surprised that no company has just made a shinny plastic one just like this case. It is not all that great and quality leaves A LOT to be desired. I a sure any company could do better than EC on quality and CS

I am hoping for someone to make a wood one (and not the guy who thinks we can't afford his) Hopefully Grove has something planned

My two Vapors are flawless, with a little insulation mod. Was I Lucky :confused:, maybe / maybe not. Speaking of wood, I've ordered a miniot iWood 4. It should be on its way to me by weeks end.

actually there is a plastic version of this case. The case mate Hula case :)

Yeah, they are nice and all, but I am just saying that a shinny plastic hard bumper type vapor case would look the same to me

I looked into Miniot and Grove and wen't with Grove. I am still looking for the bumper like wood case

Well I got my two 007 cases and sold them on ebay. I was looking at what they were going for and couldn't resist. I'll just keep my exovault which is a fine case. I can't believe what people are paying for these. Overall I made over $450 in profit on two cases.
 
I can't say I'm a fan of wood. "Wood , Jerry! Woooooood" It looks well made but not my bag. No offence to those of you who like it. I'm just a heavy metal guy at heart. Chris's review of the Exovault sold me. I better like it Chris or I'm sending you the bill, LOL. :)
There is something about the Vapor that has made it so popular. Many are willing to deal with the port restrictions and long wait times because it is such a good looking product.
If any of you have the Exovault please post your pics on the all aluminum cases thread. There is very little about the Exovault out there. I've only seen one on Ebay. That means that people love em or no one is ordering them because they hate them. I hope mine gets here soon :D

Send me the bill?! Ha! I'm sure you can sell it on eBay if need be. Aluminum iPhone anything seems to be fetching a high price on there. And if you had a perfectly working Vapor once you switched carriers, I'm sure your Exovault will work fine. The Vapor killed everything for me (until I added some heavy-duty insulation to the inside).

I have the exovault and it is a great case. Heavier than the vapor but much more protection. I think the pictures they have on the website are great so posting one wouldn't add much. Everyone that sees it thinks it is hot.

Well if you ever get time and feel the need, please post some pics. I find the pics on the web-site very poor. You can't see the Black case very well due to the bad lighting. I am anxious to check it out.

ok will try to do that. I checked the site again and you are right the EXO6 there is sliver. I have the black EXO6 and like it much better.

Nor am I big on the wood iPhone cases. But for maximum GPS accuracy while skiing in the Sierras the iWood hopefully will suit the bill as my traveling ski iPhone case. *Let alone the p@$€ poor signal strength in the same area, wood should help. But my Vapor's will remain by cases of choice :apple:.

Allllllll Righty Then.:D I just got my shipping notice today from Element so my 2 new frost cases will be here soon. ( fingers crosses ) Their process seems to be really speeding up.

Found this review of the ExoVault and it has some pics. I was interested in it too until I read the review. I preordered (but no money down! What a concept!) the Fuzion Raw instead.
