He should offer his Tesla and Starlink subscribers a benefit if they rate Grok highly in the app store.
I don’t think this would be allowed. I’m sure it’s a violation of App Store rules to take some sort of benefit to give a rating. That reminds me of Amazon. We don’t need that moving over to the App Store.

Sour grapes from the same guy that won't incorporate Apple's CarPlay in his Tesla vehicles. Funny how "unfair" only works in one direction.
I don’t think the two can be compared. One is not using an Apple product in his vehicles and the other is manipulating a ranking to make an app look worse.

To be honest, I don’t think Apple is doing that because they have no reason to do that. Why would Apple purposely manipulate the rankings to make his app go down? They might promote ChatGPT because open AI is paying them to do so, but they’re not going to manipulate the actual ranking. Big corporations generally don’t do things like that.

Unfortunately, I think this is Elon being Elon trying to get attention when it’s really not needed. He needs to calm down.!

He’s clearly salty about the attention Sam Altman is getting with the release of 5o during the same week we find out Grok will make you unauthorized nude Taylor Swift deepfakes.

I mean, how do you even deal with a brat like Elon. Can you imagine being this fundamentally unhappy as a human?

This is very true and it seems to be the case with any kind of legal nonsense.

What Apple needs to do is publicly show there is no bias in the rankings and it’s just by numbers. Of course, if they’re artificially holding back an app in rankings, then that might cause them problems. Of course, then you have to prove that by holding it back it caused damage somehow.
For anyone that doesn’t like a set of information and thinks the system is rigged, there’s no amount of information that can come out of that system that would disabuse them of this notion. If the truth is that they suck, and the metrics of the system shows that they suck, they’ll just see that as indicative of the problem.

There’s no point in even going down that road.

Elon needs to dial it down! I guess in today's environment, any press is a good press. /s

I think in todays social media and highly partisan world (especially the US, but Europe is catching up), figures are viewed as being black and white. There is no "Elon's already at this, but I don't like that"; it's either "he's a genious who is trying to save the world" or "he's a complete nob". These kind of social media spats are just aimed to fire up his supporters and keep them thinking that anyone who criticies Musk is the enemy.

He's making a lot of noise to try and get attention. Ignore him and his products and he'll become irrelevant.
Agreed. Just trying to get some attention for himself and his AI to see if it bumps a few places in the App Store. The majority of people just want to use AI and not get into internet beefs. No way his AI is as popular as he thinks.

Social media is one big cesspool - it tends to bring out the worst in all of us.

I guess it is good to know that money cannot buy happiness because so many of the wealthy and powerful seem so unhappy and mad.

Money doesn't change who you are — it amplifies it. If you're unhappy without it, wealth will only magnify that unhappiness.
