Funny thing is he did at first, but then got mad when it contradicted him.
Musk is another one of those otherwise accomplished people who think that their success must mean that any thought that goes through their head is genius.

Apparently this struck a nerve with Elon ... lmfao

I can't stand Altman, but he's not wrong here.
Boy oh boy does Elon sound like Trump at the end there

Well, take it from Elon’s own pet AI.

You’re probably right. Tim Cook is a good negotiator. This is one of his major talents that helps him with supply chain. Look at how he got DJT to reduce tariffs on the iPhone. People complain about Cook, but he’s a good CEO.

Maybe Tim Cook could get a deal to license it and replace Siri with one of Grok’s voice assistants. That would be pretty awesome since Siri is about useless.
You're new to the world of Apple, aren't you...? 🤦‍♂️

So true. So many companies (such as Epic Games) play victim and litigate saying it's unfair when clearly they're just using the system to try to leverage a monetary advantage.

While you’re likely joking, this is not beyond the realm of possibility. Just like Apple keeps getting legal issues with locking out other app stores Tesla could face some legal problems there.
While this is probably tongue in cheek Tesla doesn’t facilitate an e-commerce platform. And how awesome as CarPlay and Apple Maps are, the Tesla infotainment screen is just as awesome.

Doesn’t CarPlay allow apps that have in app purchases? It could be argued that Tesla is blocking their product from customers. I’m no lawyer but that sounds like something a lawyer would argue.

I’m sure of the fact that Tesla allows, Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming services access to the platform keeps them happy.

I agree that the Tesla entertainment screen set up is pretty awesome. It would be nice if they have a CarPlay option, but I’m not losing sleep over it

No. CarPlay doesn’t have any of that. But taking that thought to the extreme, it could force medical device manufacturers to allow shopping list software. Thanks there is no such thing as a closed platform:

You cannot initiate purchase only sign into your account. And sure the Tesla infotainment system supports popular platforms.

I’ve downloaded Grok form the App Store and left a one star review saying simply “Powered by Nazi propaganda”.
I thought it was funny, Apple didn’t. The review has been deleted for “Violation of Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions”.

Sorry Elon, Grok isn't just poorly ranked because of openAI, it's poorly ranked because of you.
Which shows you how irrational people are. I hate this guy because he supported trump for a while, therefore I have to avoid any company or product that he's associated with? That's crazy. But also you're wrong, because Grok and X apps are topping charts around the world, yet never being featured in the editorial area of the app store, which is controlled by Apple. So it's legit to ask why ChatGPT gets hand selected to be featured and no other AI apps do. To discuss it rationally, though, means you have to separate your feelings of Elon from the discussion. But you're so blinded by your OWN dislike of this guy, you can't even think straight.

It's not crazy, it's called having integrity and values and believing in them.

You don't have to care about those things, and certainly it can be applied contextually in a way that works for you, but some of us want as little to do with anything Elon related as possible.

You assume I care either way, I do not. Topping benchmarks is not topping popularity. Almost anyone you ask knows what ChatGPT is, but not nearly as many have even heard of Grok. Quick poll at my office and not a single person could tell me what Grok is, but every single one of them knew what ChatGPT is, and a few of them use it.

I don't use any chatbot AI services, from any company.

Seems pretty rational to me to not financially support someone that you believe to be nefarious.

Apple’s automated systems are as dumb as Grok. I’ve resubmitted the review as “Powered by National Socialist propaganda”. It hasn’t been deleted by Apple, but I’m not sure if it’s publicly visible.

Can you share a link? Maybe we can see if it’s visible or not
