For all it's worth, I got the supposed 'EoD' back on 4/22.

Went from 'processing' to 'preparing for shipment' early 4/26, and then 'shipped' that evening arriving tomorrow (4/28)

I think the email has been way blown out of proportion. The email doesn't somehow 'condemn' your order. You'll get it within (or maybe before) the shipping window you were given.

I feel like this second EoD email round is probably more accurate than the first. They have narrowed the shipping window from two weeks to one week for many people, so that has to mean something. I imagine part of the reason for the email is to get people off their backs with the daily calls to customer support.

As for me, I'm not sure where this lands me in the timeframe. I overslept by 10 min so my confirmation for a SG Sport 42mm is xx:12. I saw at least one post from someone who got the EoD v2 with the late May window who ordered at xx:20. Shipping notices are starting to go to people in the xx:05 timeframe. In some rare cases people as late as xx:10 are getting shipment notices. Also I haven't received any emails or updates at all. Maybe they are still trying to figure out the orders in my time window, and just how many of those black sport bands have the coating problem we are now reading about.

I ordered the Apple watch @ 10PM on April 10th. I was given an estimated ship date of June. This email I received this morning (just like the one dictated above) says my watch window is now May 21st-June 4th. I don't see how this is bad as at least I now know when to expect my device?

True; I got the first EOD on 4/22 late at night, and mine shipped on 4/23 and arrived on 4/24.

I ordered a 38 SS WSB Saturday afternoon (April 25) and just got this email. Original ship estimate was 4-6 weeks. Now it says 3-4 weeks. It's neck and neck with my XX:06 April10 38 SS pink modern buckle.

Those of us that got it originally were among the group expecting to receive the watch on launch day… But this email was there polite way of telling us that we would not. Hence anyone that receive this email was condemned to miss out on day 1. So no it's not actually a sign of any kind of problem at all at this point.

It's not an EoDv2 it's just an info that the time window has moved up for people not checking their order page every 10 seconds. as if such a person existed..
They can still ship earlier but apple is sure it won't be any later.
A lot of people who ordered 2-3 on a first shipping basis will cancel now and there will be some more movement tomorrow as some will get moved up even more.
