Hi all - wonder if you could help us out on this one.

One of our customers is going to start email marketing from their database and I think the best way to go for them at them moment is to use some email marketing software that acts as a smtp server that we can send CSV files to.

The software needs to be able to generate HTML and text only in the same message and have the ability to import HTML rather than use tacky templates.

I now the mac field is a little limited on this and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions / experiences on some of the best options at present.

I have used this program called "Atomic Mail Sender" by AtomPark Software. Its brilliant and I believe to be the best software of its kind on the market. Visit their website and see for youself, they have youtube videos of their products in action.

Hi,

Just a little more on "Atomic Email Studio", this is the one I have and I use it to send out newsletters to my contacts.

I use it to create really cool emails with graphics, I usually design it with Dreamweaver, then copy the code over to this software.

You can manage your email list as well. It keeps a database for your of contacts and you can edit this, add, remove etc...

But probably its best feature is that it handles sending emails the way you want them to. For example in my case. I have a limit of 200 emails that can be sent in 1 hour on my email address. So basically I set the program to send out 195 emails and then wait 1 hour before sending out anymore emails.

I also think that Atomic Mail Sender will be an ideal choice in this case. I used it and was satisfied with its functionality.

CakeMail works fine too.

Is email marketing still useful?

I'm using yesware, mailchimp and MaxBulk software for email marketing.
