Email notification stopped working

About a week ago I started to not receive email notifications. Any reason how I can start receiving them again?

Have you checked your settings in User CP > Settings & Options > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification > Default Thread Subscription Mode?

My e-mail notifications has stopped as well. I had not changed any settings was there an upgrade lately that reset something?
