I was preapproved, but apparently CitizensOne need to call me because I have a fraud alert that I placed on my Equifax credit file.
I’m in the same boat. And I called experian to remove the fraud alert 2 hous before I applied. They told me it would take an hour. Waiting for the phone call from citizen one.

same problem here. I don't have someone in the house with another phone, any other tricks besides borrowing someone else's phone?

Are you on the eSIM? The solution is get your original SIM, insert it, activate the slot, then try again. It should then go through. The phone initiates a verification with the SIM to confirm your number matches.

Oops.. I meant to say, since the triple-camera is only available on the Pro, I’d imagine people currently on Xs would want to upgrade to the Pro, not the “base” 11.

Right... but I'm thinking of *down*grading to the 11 (not pro) to save something in the order of $15/month on my IUP payments.

If I did three preapprovals but only want two iPhones, do I just add the two one by one at preorder, or does it add all three, and I remove one from the cart?

Also, is preorder when I pick which of my lines each iPhone upgrades, or is that when I pick up in store?

Currently have an iPhone XS that I bought outright. Should I trade in my current phone and do the Apple iPhone Payment plan or sell it and sign up for the iPhone Upgrade Program. I upgrade every year so I think it makes more sense to do the iPhone upgrade program. I wish they offered a way to trade in a phone and sign up for the iPhone upgrade program.

I think you’re better off selling the phone and then signing up for the iPhone Upgrade Program. That’s what I did last year. You’re going to get more for you’re phone selling it to a third party than trading it in to Apple anyway. Then you can use the money you get to cover the payments in the upgrade program. You should be able to cover at least 6 months I would imagine.

That’s what I am still confused.... I am preapproved but I can still get declined on Friday when I place the order? Or they tell you right away when you apply?

Not unless you change what you selected during the pre-approval process. It’s similar to getting pre-approved to buy a house or car; you apply ahead of time for a certain dollar amount, and as long as you stay below that dollar amount you aren’t good. I’m not 100% positive, but I would bet if you were pre-approved for a 11 pro and switch to an 11 pro max at order time Friday, you would have to be approved again.

Last year it seemed like they did a softpull if you were already in the IUP. Is this the same case this year?

nope just a normal SIM card, but now I get a different error:
it says
Your T-mobile account is not support on apple.com. You can purchase a full price iPhone once pre-order begins and insert an active SIM card or contact T-mobile to activate your device.

I have a business plan, is that what's messing this up?

I haven’t seen any pulls on my credit report. I already went through the pre-approval Tuesday.

Can I use a different credit card for pre-order this Friday than the one I provided during pre-approval sign up? I was accepted but I'm worried the card might be rejected for fraud alert since I had problems ordering an Apple Watch after with the card.

Also,

I chose a different route and bought a Note 9 last year so I had to use my mom's iPhone (she has prepaid Simple mobile), and my pre-approval went through no problem for T-Mobile. For anyone having problems, I suggest finding a friend with an iPhone and just log into the Apple Store app to do the process.

They sent the pre-approval email to my former iCloud email address. I opened the Apple Store App, which was logged in with the correct email address, and went through the pre-approval prompts. Going through the app makes sense as that's where I need to order anyway.

If you have to get financing maybe shouldn’t be buying the phone.

Why wouldn't' you take advantage of 0% financing?
I have the cash to buy the phone but 0% financing is always the move.

I have freezes on my credit and I was denied until I un-froze all 3 bureaus.
