iPhone Enabling disabled LTE band?

So, my carrier has LTE ready, but Apple, for some reason, has disabled 1800MHz frequency, so I can't use LTE where I live. I am thinking if is it possible to "unlock" that band? Afterall, I have root access.

Hardware dependency and you need deep hardware access (1st Gen iPhone style). It isn't completely rooted.
