iPhone Enabling disabled LTE band?

    So, my carrier has LTE ready, but Apple, for some reason, has disabled 1800MHz frequency, so I can't use LTE where I live. I am thinking if is it possible to "unlock" that band? Afterall, I have root access.

    Hardware dependency and you need deep hardware access (1st Gen iPhone style). It isn't completely rooted.

    That's too bad, even though they can enable it via software update…

    If that were possible people would be able to get native 3G/4G support on T-Mobile USA.Alas it isn't

    Thats because the root isnt big enough:D IFYKWIM
