This app is truly the best available. I'm starting med school in a few weeks and have been trying them all. Each app out there has something (the Wacom Paper app has GREAT ink and the writing is very smooth - seems almost like "real" writing).

The ONLY thing this app truly needs to be a screaming best seller is something that's already been mentioned in this thread - a better name and icon. I understand it may be difficult to file the changes with Apple, but there were some great suggestions for names on this thread. A lot of people will identify with something via a nicely marketed name and look. Get them hooked and the functionality speaks for itself.

Great update, as always! :)

Edit:
A small suggestion. Why does the "my notebooks" button disappear while in edit mode? I would like to see it simply move to the right to make room for the undo button instead of vanishing. While editing it isn't always easy to remember to hit done before you can return to all the notebooks. Just a thought

I've been eNote Taker now to do practice exams to prepare for my quals, and it's great. The only feature I'm still really missing is the lack of a select-and-move tool. I know it's coming, so I'm just hoping it's up there on your queue. :)

So I decided to try out noteshelf, because it was on sale for 0.99. After trying it out for a bit, I decided that I still like eNote Taker more, but it emphasis a few things that it is missing. I realize eNote Taker is still pretty new, especially relative to other apps like noteshelf. I was looking through your release plan and it looks like eNote Taker is only going to be getting better. Here are a few things that I liked about noteshelf, that I would like to see incorporated into eNote Taker. Many of them are really simple and many of them are already on your release plan.

A dedicated "redo" button. I know that you can access a redo by holding the undo button, but this isn't immediately obvious and is very slow if you are doing a lot of undo/redo-ing. I also don't think it would take away from your simplistic layout.

Eraser outline- if you are erasing around the edges of something, it's nice to be able to see exactly where the edge of the eraser is. On that note, additional sizes would be nice, but not necessary

The date the page was created. Discretely place on one of the corners. (would be great to be able to sort/search by dates)

Folders- Release plan

Noteshelf view- release plan

That's it! Great app :)

Availability of shapes like listed below would be extremely useful for both professionals and students.

1. Form/Table Maker
2. Circle/Polar Graph
3. Adjustable Grid
4. X/Y Axis – 1 Quadrant
5. X/Y Axis – 4 Quadrants
6. Pie Chart Maker
7. Lines, Arrows, Boxes, Circles, etc

Are you having any plans to add these features? I don’t see these in your release roadmap. I am in need for a note writing app and I am having a tough time deciding between yours and Note Taker HD. I like your simplicity approach but the above list are pushing me towards Note Taker HD so I like to know your plans if you will ever have the above features made available.

Thanks!

I'd like to try this app but I don't see it in the app store. Did it get removed or is my brain not working well this morning?

Decided to buy and give a go...

I decided to buy and give it a go. Here are my two cents.

I love the clean UI. There is an obvious strive to focus on just what is needed. I like the preview thumbs. They seem to load well.

Personally, I think the writing is not as smooth as it can be (ive tried a lot to compare it to) Also, I've noticed that when writing cursive, a millisecond after the top of some of my letters get cutoff.

I also vote for instead of having pics imported in their own page, to have them imported in a resizable box on the page you are on. That you can resize as you want and write notes around and on top as needed.

Type text would be nice also, but possibly since its not already in there you feel it isn't a needed core function. I can understand that. However, I often like to be able to copy text from webpages and other PDFs, paste them into my notes, and comment on them. I'm betting others do the same.

Looking forward to see what happens with this one.
