Just to update on my Verizon issue. Swapped phones with wife whom has a xs max like mine. Still the same as soon as I turn on both service's my Verizon goes crazy either wont have service or it is like using dial up internet. Turn at&t off its fine. Getting a new sim card from Verizon to see if that fixes the issue. Any other thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated.
It has nothing to do with the phone Verizon acknowledged the issue and say fix is coming early decemberJust to update on my Verizon issue. Swapped phones with wife whom has a xs max like mine. Maybe wait until the update that Verizon says it works on....
good catch never seen this before. I just sent this link to an agent and the agent said it is not available yet and Apple and ATT are still fixing the issue. Not sure if this is new or not but on AT&T's support website talking about "Dual SIM devices" there is an FAQ "When will Dual SIM technology be available? - Dual SIM, Dual Standby technology is available for iPhone® XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR with the iOS 12.1.1 software update."
I believe this use to say 12.1. Hopefully we hear more soon!
Walked in to an AT&T corporate store in Bellevue, WA today and was told they're not issuing eSIM activations until January.
did you show him a bunch of articles?Walked in to an AT&T corporate store in Bellevue, WA today and was told they're not issuing eSIM activations until January.
did you show him a bunch of articles?
I walked into 3 stores, 2 of them were clueless and the third told me they only do esim activations on new lines. I showed him 3 sites including ATTs where it says they are now activating esims, he said he will not do it unless i activate a new line. I asked him well i want to do a sim swap. I lost my old phone and want to do a sim swap for a new esim he said that is not possible. He had them in stock. I wanted to walk out with one and just do a regular sim card swap online.

how did you manage that?Just got off with AT&T tech support, they are shipping me a eSim card. Guy was truly unsure because he hadn't done one, but he figured it out and its supposed to be to me in 3 to 6 business days. He didn't seem to have any understanding that this couldn't move forward. He gave me the option to mail or store, I just chose mail due to my schedule.
He didn't even want to try to do a esim swap. I told him just do a regular sim swap and type in the new esim ICCID and give me the card with that QR code and ill pay for your services, he said it cannot be done.If this is going to be their company policy on issuing eSIMs, that’s some BS. Surely, it is a misinformed rep or a rep who wanted to go on a power trip with a customer. I can’t imagine that they will be restricting eSIMs to new lines only.
Sorry to bother where are you located if you dont mind me asking, which store was itFinally! Went to the local AT&T corp store, got my number moved to eSIM in lesser than 5 mins. Stick my oversea SIM card into the slot as secondary voice and SMS only, worked perfect! AT&T Visual Voice Mail also no problem. All the functions as expected.
how did you manage that?
After talking to 10 reps today that was my plan but they said they can't ship it.

I have an email ready to go to the CEO, not sure if it will do much, but i have emailed Samsung's North American CEO before with false information on their website that cost me 1000 in appliances and did get a gift card.
I am Outside of Cleveland, OhioSorry to bother where are you located if you dont mind me asking, which store was it
I just chatted with someone and i asked if they can ship it to me. They did, but when i check the order number it just shows a regular sim card.Honestly I didn't do anything fancy. Told him I wanted to activate my eSim. He said it was new and give him some time to research. He had to figure out that he had to send me a sim, but once he determined that he setup a mailing. However well see if it mails and if it does if I get the right card....
Not sure if they will actually send you one. If so, you will still need to go to the store to activate. Because they need to put in the IMEI number from your eSIM (under General -> About. When I had mine activated in the store, they have to actually scan the ICCID on the card, and put in my IMEI number on their activation app, before I can scan the QR code to add the number. Keep up posted with your experiences if you do get it from mail.Honestly I didn't do anything fancy. Told him I wanted to activate my eSim. He said it was new and give him some time to research.
