My order of Sweet Maria's Liquid Amber arrived late yesterday. I'm greatly looking forward to returning home from work later today to open it, smell it, feel it, pour it into a Friis container, grind it, extract it and then enjoy it.

Mmmm, delicious!

I just finished roasting my final batch of Costa Rica Helsar Nancy. I keep ordering the SM's 4 lbs sampler to get a wide variety, and I'm becoming rather fond of the Costa Rican coffees. Tending to be nuttier and full of cocoa, they make a nice counterpoint to the light and fruity Ethiopians I love.

I'd really like to try some of those other SM blends, but since I don't roast my own, I'm really limited to the LA.

Hmmm, next time you should try for their other espresso blend!

Actually, if you want to go with your FP for a little bit, you could keep an eye out for one of their SO beans that would go well. Actually, all the Costa Ricans I've tried go nicely in the FP.

Shrink doesn't know it yet, because I haven't asked him yet, but he will be roasting me that one blend he just started liking and will send it to me. 😀 I asked him to do a LA roast a few months ago and he shipped it over to me.

You had a good suggestion yourself too. I should keep an eye out for their other roasts, though, I've found I don't like the SO beans quite as much as the blends. But I'm always willing to try a new bean.

For those of us who do use milk with our espresso, at times, here is a neat tip for practicing your frothing technique, without wasting milk.

Just as I was trawling through the last few posts which I had not read, and smiling indulgently at the happy spirit of comradeship and sharing and teasing which seems to be so evident here……..

…...suddenly, a brand new variant of the old 'mine is bigger, better and bolder than yours' staple of male competition sidles onto the stage and into the discussion……..

Irrespective of my chronological age, on my best day I'm functioning with the emotional maturity of a 15 year old.😱

Yup...emotional age, moral development age, intellectual age...and other manner of developmental age designations. I could go on in more detail, but I fear you would die of boredom...or worse, have me killed!
