Well, it was not the most inspired New Year's resolution, I must admit.

There is a reason that the latte is regarded (rightly) as a classic, and that reason usually has something to do with milk.

Have just enjoyed my café au lait, a little later than planned, as I ran into my boss (who has just returned today); so, sticky sweet cake (not my favourite, admittedly), Italian honey, and a very pleasant café au lait.

A timely precocious but amusing cup of Donut Shop regular has been slurped from my chipped burnt orange University of Illinois mug...my pinkie was grandly extended. Sublime and superb it was.

Managed a quick café au lait - but very welcome it was, too.

This morning I watched a deer carelessly setting down its hooves in the carpet of fresh snow as their lips tugged the last leaves from a spiny slumbering bush. It’s last gift of life generously unselfishly passed on to its long brown faced friend. While gazing out from my snow globe window I enjoyed a perfectly prepared Dunn Brothers k-cup medium roast with sugar and a lot of carnation hazelnut cream. A delicate horsey flavor reminiscent of aged turpentine and a splash of toluene danced happily across my palate.
