I will admit that I melt at the thought of gentlemen who think to offer me a tea or coffee either before, or when, I arise to face or greet (the distinction between the verbs is further reinforced by the season in which what is described by the verb occurs) the day.

And no: I am not usually one to bring teas and coffees to those abed (unless they are ill); it usually takes me the best part of two hours to come to terms with a new day (bright sunny days in summer excepted) therefore, in truth, they would be waiting quite a while for their morning beverage served to them in bed.

Absolutely. Almost every single morning I wake up before she does (or if I go to the gym early morning I come back home before going to work) to prepare a cappuccino for her, exactly as she likes it. At times, I try to bring to her a small yet nutritious breakfast in bed 🙂

Ah, I perfectly know what you mean... I am glad that here in Texas winter (as the rest of the Northern hemisphere would define it) lasts about ten days 🙂

It's dark outside just past 3:30 this last week. Which is unusually early compared to past years. Had to use a flashlight just to gather up some firewood.

Had a Turkish earlier. Probably make a light drip soon. Trying to get into a Christmas mood. It doesn't feel the same as it used to. I did go out and buy several boxes of candy canes. They must be fresh because I put them in my home office for keeping until we get a tree. I came back a few hours later and it reeked of peppermint.

Also picked up some non-traditional flavor canes I saw at the store. Similar to ones I bought back in the 90s. Just need to pick up some extra ones and then some bulk quality chocolate and make some bark.

Well, I have had to put on the indoor lighting before four in the afternoon some of the days this past week, it has been so dark, the skies charcoal and overcast, dark, dreary, dismal, the weather bleak and wet with hailstones for dessert.

Anyway, why doesn't it feel the same as it used to?

Double shot espresso always sounds good to me.

That first cup of coffee (or espresso) in the morning, there is nothing to equal it......
 
Time for an Americano while taking a break from prepping the house for Christmas’s annual European Invasion (red alert!! relatives incoming!!!).

I tend to roar that the study is "my space" and that I do not welcome visitors, except by invitation.

A month is long enough - especially in winter - but some people have little understanding of, let alone respect for, personal boundaries and space.

I am one of those that has a physical (and psychological) need for some time to myself each day.

Fortunately, I come from a family where that was assumed and understood - after dinner, for the most part, people would drift away for an hour or so and spend some time by themselves. However, some silly relatives never fully understood that and were extraordinarily intrusive and entitled.

Made a good sized pot of Dave's Coffee's Colombian. It's their new organic offering (they rotate them every so often) and it's really nice. Has some chocolate tones that are like a mocha. Very smooth, too. I could definitely get used to this one!
 
Woke up at 5:45am with a good cup of coffee. Second cup followed when I left home and I was waiting for my car to defrost. Third cup now, at work.

Given that it is a blend, where are the blended beans from? What coffee producing regions made up this blend?

Seattle is supposed to have an excellent coffee culture, therefore, I would imagine that this is a very nice coffee.
