Oh damn. I knew I forgot something. I froze that batch of Scottish shortbread dough I made like I always do and would cook it a day before NYE. Oh, well, more for us.

There aren't many biscuits I like, but I adore shortbread.

Yep. I managed to forget in the midst of the of the holidays. I'll put it to use in a week or two since we have a lot of leftover desserts and other baked goods. I had plans on making some triple ginger cookies a few weeks into the new year. I'll probably make them on the same day.


Triple ginger = ginger powder, finely chopped candied ginger, ginger root and juice. Both keep for a long time and go well with a cup of tea.

Ginger cookies sound lovely, but proper Scottish shortbread is addictive.
