I found this one, from a local supermarket, pretty mild and slightly nutty. Not bad, I usually prefer a brighter flavour though.
Thanks for your reply.

I asked, merely because I have never tasted coffee from Peru, and had wondered about it.

Granted, coffee preferences are very personal and subjective, but, while, in general, I tend to love coffees from Costa Rica and El Salvador, I have been disappointed by coffees from Colombia (even, supposedly excellent coffees), and rather underwhelmed by the few I have sampled from Guatemala and Brazil.

Have finished my coffee from El Salvador today.

As it happens, I do still have some Ethiopian coffee, but will also peruse some coffee sites as it is time to think about replenishing my supplies.

An Ethiopian coffee - with some organic hot milk, and a dash of double cream - sits on a coaster (in a Le Creuset mug) to my right hand this slightly overcast Sunday afternoon in early July.

Bliss.

I am busily perusing coffee sites, as I am down to my last bag of Ethiopian coffee, which is now out of season, thus, I doubt whether I shall be able to lay hands on some for several months more.

Dilemmas, dilemmas: I have never had a coffee from Zambia, and am debating ordering that, plus a coffee from either Bolivia, or Thailand.

Exploring a lot of AI stuff at the moment, and having a late large espresso while doing it.
So I wonder when a AI Espresso machines will be the ’thing’?
Pretty sure that will be my next Espresso machine though.

Have you seen any around?

Risky. It might decide you've had enough caffeine for the day and refuse to make you one, before sending an automatic alert to your doctor.

No, no, no.

There are certain things that are better done by hand, and done by yourself, and - to my mind, at least - coffee preparation (cooking is another) falls into that category.

Chatting with my wife, people watching

My favourite Italian Bialetti stove percolator has taken a severe blow — the metal pin which served as a hinge to the lid on top has come loose, and I’m afraid the next time I try to use it will result in a coffee explosion. Have switched to my backup Bialetti, which is less than perfect because it is a six-shot monster of a thing…

Still persisting with Lavazza Qualita Oro ground espresso coffee, it’s very nice.

Commiserations.

I must say that I love my Bialetti.

My father - deceased a couple of months ago - was the family king of coffee machines. He had several DeLonghi espresso machines and a quality burr grinder for grinding his own coffee, which he would use to make cappuccino for his girlfriend. But for himself he would just do a simple pour-over filter coffee, with the ground Ethiopian coffee he would buy from the supermarket…

RIP Dad.
