I get where you're coming from, it is unfair that some people are getting a kick down and others aren't but the reason the bumpers were being offered was for a potential fix -- you have case, therefore you have the potential fix! At this point, I'd just let it go and watch the ensuing poop-storm :D

Obviously I wanted a free case. Out of principle. But whatever, I have given up on it.

That was from Saturday before I got my purchased bumper in the mail. Cool detective work though, you should work for the police. At this point I don't need a bumper. My problem is solved.

To be honest, you didn't need any help looking like a tool. You made a thread to whine about not getting a free case. Did you think it would go over well?
 
I ordered two bumpers the day I ordered my i4...the 15th...they come this week.

If Apple ends up making this widespread, and they start giving out bumpers to everybody, I'll be on the phone to them so fast for a refund...either that, or they'll be returned to the store.

...AND...NO...I have no reception problems...and really don't feel ANYBODY is ENTITLED to ANYTHING free from Apple. Period.

If the phone is "unseable" for you...RETURN IT.

Because, at the very least, everybody should be offered the same thing...Either something or NOTHING.

If I have to pay for a bumper, and they are giving them away for free to anybody who asks, for sure I will return the bumper I paid for and expect a free bumper just like everybody else got.

Quit trying to parse everything people say. My statement is very consistent.

If everybody else is getting something for free...whether I feel that Apple owes anybody anything...then I might as well get the same deal. Period.

Not saying you are, but I am beginning to think that there are some fake complainers. They want some compensation, i.e. money. The original poster said that he already bought a case and would like some green. I am guessing that there are some who just want to take an opportunity to scam Apple. Don't most people buy a case anyways? It has only been two business day and two weekend days. Not sure how long it takes some engineers to figure out the problem. Is it hardware issue or software issue or both? Not sure how what start this. Otherwise, it may just be a non - issue. It has been overblown for sure. I have heard that some folks reception have gotten better, ie. Jimmy Fallen.
