I am continually amazed how hard some people are working to find ways to absolve Apple of this. Its going to be worldwide maybe even starting with M6 since they only did it in the EU for profit reasons anyway.

Maybe some Americans are currently defending it since they don't care that our European friends have to pay extra for the charger now.

You'll be paying extra next though.

Though I bet the same people will defend that too, cause there is literally nothing Apple could do that would stop them from offering immediate free defense of the company.

Imagine giving a company thousands of dollars and also being excited to do some free public relations for them as well. While also happily saying "Yes, Apple please make me pay even more!"

Im amazed that people like you ignore reality and facts just to spin your anti-Apple narratives and expect people to take you seriously.

The new laptops cost LESS than the ones they are replacing AND still cost less even IF you add a charger.

Oh look, there goes your entire claim.

But even if that were not the case, so what? Don’t like how much Apple charges? Don’t buy their products. There are plenty of alternatives at myriad price levels. Apple could charge $10,000 per laptop and that wouldn’t be a problem. Why? Because no one NEEDS a MacBook Pro. If that’s too much no one will buy and they’ll lower the price. There’s no moral obligation for Apple to make cheap products. You can wish for them to be cheaper all you want, that’s fine, but it’s not a moral outrage when they don’t.

War is an outrage. Police brutality is an outrage. Child abuse is an outrage.

A computer company charging more than you like for their computers? Not an outrage.

Ironic you're replying in the thread with the article that showed this is false. The misinformation continues to spread even in comment sections of articles that disputed the misinformation.
Ironic that you took the headline of the article at face value when the article itself proves the opposite of that claim. The EU law absolutely requires Apple to sell laptops without a charger.

Sigh. No it doesn’t. Customers are required to have the option to buy their computer without a charger.

Apple choosing to exclude the charger as a baseline is how they decided to comply( fully within the framework of the law)

*sigh* Yes it literally does. You just stated it does.

you going to the store and having the option to buy the same thing without a charger.
That doesn’t equate no chargers are included at all. They can provide the charger and computer together as two packages as standard and remove it when asked.

Sell two versions, one with a charger in the box and the other without etc etc.

Apple at bare minimum must allow a customer to not get a charger if they ask for that
