Other EU iPhone Air /17/17 Pro/ 17 Max/ Pre-Release, Order And Dispatch Thread

Here we go again! 
So what is everyone getting?
I had planned on a black 17 Pro, but alas....😒 So a 17 Pro in silver (256GB) it is. Planning a pick-up in store instead of delivery so as not to repeat the "ooops UPS lost your phone" drama I had to live through two years ago. 😩 Also release will be on my birthday, so that will be twice as nice.
The first hands on videos are out and the orange looks really really cool. Just not the color for me.
ETA: The Air is stunning (especially that cloud white color with the polished edges - reminds me of the iPhone X). But I'm not sure I could live with the missing features and the smaller battery..

Why is this so expensive? This is 16% more than US pays and our leaders didn’t put a tariff on China. In the past Apple dropped the EU prices when the dollar lost in value. Why not this time?
I guess because they all start with 256 gigs now and that adds to it
Well ordering has never been this easy before I think? Like… I just pre-registered my preorder for Friday and now all I gotta do on Friday is press “pay now” it seems?
I used to be so jealous of all the US Americans for being able to pre-register, so glad we are able to do this now, too! 🥳

At least when our European friends hit that button, it won't be the ungodly hour of 5:00 in the morning
5 am? Oh god. For us it's 2 pm, which is smack dab in the middle of the workday. I am happy we still get a Sim card slot… even though we loose 2h battery time …
(I like to buy physical SIM cards for traveling… )
But I am a little bummed about the price… I had hoped it would be 100€ less because of the favorable exchange rate (which hold quite steady over the last months…so it feels a little unfair…)
I am unsure about the color though… my phone is blue now… so blue is kinda boring and silver isn’t that exiting either… so I guess I’ll try to secure an orange one… it will be in a case anyways so I guess it doesn’t really matter…
I doubt I‘ll be courageous enough to go naked… though I‘d love to do so for years…

Did the pre-order setup yesterday.
17 Pro in blue with 512 Gb storage. Apple offers 505€ for my 15 Pro (256 GB), think its fair but I will take a look on eBay of it makes sense to sell it there.
Was pretty happy with the 15 Pro but looking forward to the upgraded camera and hopefully much better battery life.
Sad that we don’t get the eSIM only model in the EU/Germany.
And in regards to the color it will be a blue for blue exchange. Not that exciting but I think it’s the most solid colour for me. Don’t like the back of the silver one that much.

I would suggest to just sell the Phone to wirkaufens or clevertronic - I do this the past years and was always satisfied with it. No stress with ppl on ebay or other platforms.
You could always get a case that covers the "plateau", too. Or a case that covers the two toned back.
