Does anyone know when the youtubers will start posting their "unboxing" and testing of the new phones - I assume they already have them.
 
Succesfully got launch day delivery (Netherlands). It was pretty stressful, so to say. Took ages to load, and when it did I was told my credit card information wasn’t complete (the postal code was apparently incorrect, but typing it over again with a space between the numbers and letters fixed it). Anyway, all went well eventually, just glad I should be receiving the phone on launch day.

The only thing I’m wondering now is why I haven’t received any confirmation e-mail yet. Is that normal? My credit card is also not showing anything of a reservation. As I remember correctly it would show such thing in the past, and I’d receive an e-mail. The app still shows a succesful payment and delivery on launch day however. Pretty anxious the whole thing gets cancelled now. 😬

Yes, unfortunately. First i thought, well it doesn’t seem to sell because of not enough features / high price.
iPhone 17 standard and the Pro Max is almost sold out.

But then i read about this:
(Bloomberg) — Apple Inc. (AAPL) delayed the launch of its new iPhone Air in mainland China, citing regulatory approval issues.

When pre-orders for the new models began on Friday, the company’s China website would not let customers in the region order the new, thinner device. Instead, a message reads: “Release information will be updated later. All models will be released after approval.”


So maybe we in Europe get the China Overstock currently.

Took a while for me too until I received the mail
 
Ngl i was tempted to also pre order an air.. just because I wanted to try it out 😅 sadly there is no apple store close to where I live.

I was initially planning on picking up the phone from the store myself, but it’s over an hour away and with a child at home there’s no guarantee we’ll all be healthy next Friday to drive that hour 😂 so delivery it is. 🎁
The air is soooo pretty. Can’t wait for the first reviews.
 
I got the orange pro 256… preorder for delivery 19th…
But somehow I am not as exited as for previous phones…I am not hyped at all unfortunately …
I am still wondering if a „regular“ iPhone 17 would have been „enough“… or maybe the air… I dunno…

Just upgrading from my 15pro because the 128gb weren’t enough for me and I‘ve been struggling for 2 years now with it… might need to rewatch the keynote to find something to be hyped about… feels weird and somehow wrong…

Usually I am as hyped as one can be and keep refreshing the status website and try to guess which plane it might be in…
 
Did preorder the blue 17 Pro with 512 Gb. Will pick it up at the store next Friday.
No huge excitement anymore but that’s how it is. We got older, smartphones don’t bring these huge changes anymore… all fine :)
Biggest storage I’ve ever had in a phone. Going on a trip to Japan and China in October and will take a lot of shots with the new phone for sure :)

I know Switzerland isn't in the EU but it's quite a small country to warrant its own thread, so here I am!

My plan is to simply wander into the Apple store and see all the phones in real life to help me decide the size, whether or not I need/want the Pro, and the colour. Plus the cases and maybe even that strap thing.

Hopefully on or very close to the 19th.

Just checked - 2 hours later and most combinations are still there on the 19th or 25th.
The pro max was sold out in 5 mins, even without having pre-preordered.
 
It’s the polished titanium than makes the Air look special.

But this is highlighted by the lack of polished surfaces on the Pro and regular 17.

I think the Pro would look better with at least one polished surface in the plateau area.

The "fancy phone" is now the Air, not the Pro anymore.
The Pros look more "industrial" now.
I think it's very interesting how they change the vibe with the design

The iphone Air really is beautiful! I really wanted gold this year too - but since the camera and the battery life have been the biggest annoyances with my regular 15 - I know I would regret getting it eventually. So Silver pro max for me. OF COURSE no gold option :/
