Who are these 'other organisations'? What are their own data confidentiality policies? Why are they all so interested in collecting data on my religion and whether I'm gay or straight when it's nothing to do with their project aims?
Time for a Freedom of Information Act request. They have to comply if you raise it.

Anyone who wants to spend their time tracking the people I email or the calls I make is welcome to in my book, none of the content is recorded as that would require a court order and proof that there was no other way of obtaining the information.

Just because your not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

On the other hand, if I was engaged in criminal activity I'd have cause to worry.:rolleyes:

You can't have security and freedom, you want to be safe, you have to put up with state intrusion, you want freedom, then you get the option of getting blown to buggery by your local neighbourhood extremist.

The government can watch me all it likes, I'm dull and they'd get very bored, very quickly.
