Thanks, my day is a little bit less sh***y now.

Yeah same here! So Annoying. Specially cause I'm working almost next to the Apple Store and could have picked it up Yesterday.

God waiting/refreshing like a maniac is annoying XD. I ordered less than 10 mins after the keynote thinking i'd get it early. Alas - "Mechanical breakdown bullcrap... Meanwhile a couple of my coworkers who had no idea about the new pros till monday, strolled into the local Apple store on Tuesday afternoon and picked up their new 16' M1 Pro MBPs. Never using preorder again.

That's what I mean, next time I want an Apple product on day one I'll just wait for pick-up and cue.

I hope our MacBooks weren’t on this plane!

Anyone read Korean?

So Looking at the UPS routes, once there's an available flight in Seoul. This will fly to Germany?

Translate provided by a poster in the uk thread!

Here's the translated page: https://n-news-naver-com.translate....l=ko&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-GB&_x_tr_pto=nui

In summary, they lifted the front of the plane to do maintenance on the front landing gear. In doing so, the tail hit the ground and hydraulic fluid was leaked. They say the plane was empty of cargo at the time but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the plane that was supposed to carry a bunch of stuff, including a load of MacBooks, to Europe.

If this was our intended plane I can’t see how they can get this airborne again quickly! Starting to expecting some good delay now :(

Someone should email the reporter and try to get info about the cargo: terryus@kyunghyang.com
😂

In the meantime, I am watching the Seoul Plane in 3D. I need help: https://www.flightradar24.com/UPS80/29a81ab5/3d

Some days more to think about the usefulness and may be the fate connected with this macbook pro.
Could that be a sign to us not to use it ? I don‘t know, but it is connected with bad feelings.

The fact that it had no cargo sounds positive to me. It would have been a nightmare to get the items out safely, and that could have meant a delay of possibly more than a week. Not to mention risk of damage to the pallets.

I'd go insane if my order gets cancelled and I have to wait till January 2022 to get my config...

I am bummed that Apple didn't offer an option to go with a faster shipment at checkout...

Ha, if anything it makes me want it even more. My 2017 MPB has been on the cusp of dying for years now. So, no bad luck or superstition can deter me.

I’m on the opposite end! I keep seeing a base 14” 10core/16gb/1TB being available to pick up straight away from apple just 3 miles away!

These delays with my BTO order (14” Max, 32/1TB) keeps making me doubt me needing such a high spec

But I don’t understand why are you tracking a fly to Shangai and not the fly Seoul to Germany? There’s no fly from Shangai to Germany and ours MacBook are in Shangai

I assume this flight will pick up our MacBooks in Shanghai and bring them to Seoul from where they'll go to Cologne (as there's no direct flight between Shanghai and Cologne (there ought to be one though))

That flight unfortunately goes from Shanghai via Seoul to Anchorage :(
Yeah, I figure the same. They probably do not unload part of the cargo in Seoul on their way back to Anchorage. I'm keeping my hopes up that N607UP, which landed in Seoul a few hours back coming from Dubai, takes off from Seoul to Shanghai in the coming minutes/hours though.

EDIT: Could be that it picks up our MBPs. I'm not sure if this is a routine flight. There is no data before Oct 24th. Might as well be a repurposed flight. We'll see :)
yes, I was just about so suggest that…
The flight to Shanghai wasn’t actually planned I think (at least I couldn’t find that info…)
So there is hope that UPS rearranged things and that that plane goes to Europe…
We will find out in the next hours I guess…

How did you translate that? The translation is very good :)

Also: now we now that the 5X10 plane from Seoul to Shanghai is empty and only flies there to pick up cargo. I can't really make up the airplane number, but it looks like our beloved N572UP.

I guess now we need to hope to see new scans… and those better be departure scans…

I just used Vivaldi Browser translation button. I am pretty sure it's Google Translate.

The flight departs from Shanghai, flies to Seoul and goes to Cologne. Yes, there is no direct flight but an indirect one.

If that's true, which is the next plausible flight on which the macs could board to Cologne?

I appreciate your research on flights, thanks for sharing.
