Awesome research, thank you. What's your estimate for final arrival time in Cologne? Please include timezone

Anywhere between 5pm and 9pm CEDT; it seems to vary. If I had to guess, 6.30pm CEDT. It’s about a 12h flight from Seoul to Cologne. On the basis that we want the packages in Cologne by 11pm CEDT, I’ll be worried if the aircraft hasn’t left Seoul by 11am CEDT (6pm local time in Seoul).

Yeah, and only the sender can order and pay for delivery on Saturdays...
That's unfortunate. I'm still confident that we may get a Friday delivery... IF N607UP (5X10) is actually being loaded with MBP Cargo over the next hour. In that case it would need about 20 hours to be in Köln, and would give another 8-12 hours or so for them to be sent forward to delivery bases. One can only hope :)

I wonder what this means for those with an originally scheduled delivery for Friday and whether that will be pushed back due to the backlog of items that now need to be shipped from Shanghai.

It seems like the projection won't update until the next scan of the items.

Also do not forget that we get some extra hours by flying from Asia to Europe. Friday delivery hopefully it is.

That would be just in time for the start of the overnight sorting in Cologne! Which is completed at around 3am. That leaves plenty of time for parcels to fly to other EU destination overnight, and be at the local UPS facility early in the morning. As stated in the UPS video, parcels do fly overnight from cologne to other EU locations. So I am pretty confident they can be at local facilities Friday morning.

I agree. Can't wait any longer... The tease of seeing reviewers with their greasy hands on these beauties drives me mad, lol.

That's an interesting question.

My BTO was originally 4-8th and then changed to this Friday 29th. I’ve got the same ‘mechanical failure’ message so assume they’re all on the same flight

Interesting, mine was 3-8 but I haven't seen any of these messages (in the UPS app). Still just stuck on Arrived at Facility.

Did UPS 10 already leave Shanghai?
Not yet, but that's normal. It takes 3-5 hours for the plane to be loaded.

Generally, my latest prediction would be Friday for people close to an UPS airplane hub. Probably Tuesday for people that need a truck to get to their delivery hub.

Might explain the Thursday/Friday thing. Can you guys confirm that you Thursday guys live close to a city with an airport and Friday guys not?

Same for me. Never got the "mechanical failure" message. Since yesterday no status update.
Just got an update and it doesn't look too good. or maybe it means nothing. Who knows at this point ?

I assume that is the backlog now. The question is how they clear the parcel jam now. Either mix everything have and only have some people complain about longer waiting times or do it chronologically setting back every current delivery. We'll see.

I guess some will see an update tonight, some will not. Our MacBook Pro pallets could be split apart now ?

Me too, with the same timestamp 05:38. Seems like it will come on Tuesday and not on Friday anymore...
@matthewadams

Your orders were 1 day late compared to most of us. I guess we got another update since the airplane our parcels should've taken was cancelled.

Your updates seem like they are delayed due to the backlog as the plane now is trying to clear the backlog.

Those of you who got status updates, did you have the "mechanical failure" status as well?
No, I never got that message

I guess we will see tonight/tomorrow

Bad news is UPS80 just left Shanghai bound for Seoul. Given that nobody has posted about an update in tracking, seems like it didn't take our cargo. Good news is that if it took other cargo, there is more place for UPS10 to take ours (hopefully)! haha

Let's see how this unfolds. I'd assume UPS planes aren't always at max capacity or else they'd have an indefinitely growing backlog.

Sorting is starting soon or already started at the Cologne facility. So if for some reason someone's parcel reached the EU today they will get a notification in the next 4h, and delivery probably tomorrow. The very very lucky ones.

It would be awesome to know the Seoul facility sorting times, as it seems all these UPS branches keep it compacted in a few hours window during the day.

Someone mentioned that the Seoul <> Shanghai stop might not be tracked at all for customers. So that might be a reason. Also someone else mentioned that the Shanghai facility doesn't sort/scan. It's probably just a pickup point for pallets. Not all airports have sort/scanning facilities.

Mine has the mechanical issue and the delivery has slipped from a specific time to “end of day”.

Hopefully this is an actual update and not just an incremental update they will keep pushing
