Still no charge for my order.

I’m believing that 16” processing is slower than 14”.
I choose an uncommon config (16”, Pro, 32Gb, 1Tb, IT)
I have the same specs (EN keyboard though), and the charge just came through a few hours ago.

Given my delivery window is also Dec 7-15, I guess your card would be charged very soon if not already :)

iPad mini 6: Arrives 11/22 - 11/29: Shipped today, delivery monday 11/22 (UPS - from NL, not from china)
Watch 7: Arrives 11/22 - 11/29: Still in processing
MBP 16" MAX/64/2tb: Arrives 11/26 - 12/3: Still in processing

Well, the status of my order has moved to preparing to ship!

I don’t understand Apple’s way of charging your card, though.

The pending charge made three days ago disappeared from my card, so I guess they will charge my card for a third time once if ships. I don’t understand why they didn’t just keep the money now instead of letting the pending payment expire and then charging it again.

Patently waiting ??

When have you placed your order?
Mine was placed on 30/10.

Noticed that the estimated delivery on the store for a 16” bto is 3-4 weeks now, instead of 4-6.

They are speeding for christmas

I placed my order on Nov 7.

My guess is key components like CPUs and RAMs are produced in batches and delivery is calculated based on availability of the weakest link in each order (Max chips and, previously, 16” seem to be the biggest culprits). Then you get your order a day faster if you live near a delivery hub like Holland, Germany, etc. or in a country with an efficient customs clearance system e.g. Switzerland.

Ok, found why I haven't got the charge.
A couple of minutes ago I received a mail from apple store claiming that my bank hasn't garanted the transaction.
Basically my VISA had a 3K cap per day, I had to manually raise and finally I got the charge.
Speaking with the apple specialist, he said that they tried once yesterday and once today before sending the email.

So, you are basically right. We had the charge at the same time.

PS: Your guess are correct. I think that not many have chosen an M1 Pro + 32gb or ram, most just got the binned MAX instead.

16'' M1 Max
10 CPU/32 Core GPU/16 Core Neural
64 GB RAM
4 TB SSD

Ordered: 19/10/21
Delivery Window: 16/11 - 23/11
Country: Netherlands

Still in preparing process. Hopefully it will be here somewhere in the upcoming week as estimated.
I'm one of the unlucky few that don't get their order sooner than the delivery window, but later.

It's shipped but delivery is November 25th. That's two days after the last date of the estimation. Oh well, i can live with that.

I had a similar experience (I'm in Belgium FWIW). I randomly received a "we're waiting for your payment" email from Apple, which was odd because when I called them they had taken my money already (weeks before shipping) but had realised the error and given me a refund... only to then try again and fail (because the money was not yet in my bank account). In the end I had to use a different card once I had assurance I'd receive the refund but they have now double charged me for the AppleCare on the new card.

It's really, really odd. I've never had this before and the lady I spoke to said that they were using a new system that had errors. Also much less helpful in the benelux region I've found as they've told me to open a dispute claim with my bank for the erroneous charge. ?

I selected the 64Gb option for my 16" 10/32 Max, there is a huge difference between a max with 32Gb and the 64Gb model, if you order now the former has a delivery window Dec. 7-14, the latter 6-8 weeks

Glad that everything went ok with the charge.

Based on the experiences of other folks here, my next guesses are shipment by Nov 26 and delivery by Nov 30 / Dec 1. Hopefully the growing number of lockdowns will not affect intra-European logistics too much.

Yeah, it seems that they charge a week before the shipment and than it takes 4-5 working days for delivery.
My hopes are that they can speed the shipment phase, since the expected delivery dates are much shorter now.

I literally just got double charged for AppleCare too. The hell is going on in their systems.

Whoah, in a way I’m glad to hear it’s not just me but sorry to hear that. I’m hoping to hear back from my bank soon but also quite surprised that apple isn’t taking ownership of the problem here.

I'll bother them tomorrow since morning that they should solve it themselves.
Bank takes long, they can refund it faster, in the end they caused it so why am I supposed to be the one fixing it.

Anybody else with 24/11-1/12 slot who still doesn't have any movement (no charge either)?

I originally ordered 16"/10/32/64GB/1TB right after keynote but then 2 days later changed my mind and changed to 2TB version and got this instead of my original beginning of November.

Edit: just 2 hours later, Apple finally took my money. ?

My status has changed to “Preparing to Ship”. ?

Just received the email from Apple that my MBP shipped!

The odd thing is that last Wednesday Apple charged my card for the MBP. The charge stayed as pending and dropped off my account a few days later. The MBP has now shipped and Apple has not charged my card again. I guess they will do so soon, but it's very strange now that they shipped the MBP but didn't charge me.

My configuration is a 14" with the M1 Max, 32GB of RAM, 512 SSD, and 24 core GPU.

Ordered: 1 November
Destination: Switzerland
Original delivery window: 6 - 14 December
New delivery date: 30 November
Carrier: TNT

If it arrives on the 30th that would be a nice and exact one month from order date to reception. I just hope there aren't any issues with Apple charging my card correctly.
