EUROPE MacBook Pros 14” and 16” inch Pre-orders, Orders and Delivery Status

16” M1 Max 32 GPU / 32 RAM / 1 TB SDD - not happy with the price especially when I do not do many things on PC but I was looking for some great future proof laptop and want to run Windows as well so 32 GB RAM was a must and then there was not so much difference in price when taking 16/24/32 GPU.
I think for my browsing internet and student things it is overkill. And I have iPad M1 as well..

I thought Windows for ARM was confirmed not to work on Apple Silicon?

I am explicitely not. The reason is ANSI vs ISO layout. With ANSI, you get a horizontal enter with a hard to reach key above it. With ISO, I get a vertical enter with a useful key on the left of it, and an extra key just right of the left shift. I switch keyboard layout immediately to US International (with dead keys), so I type blind. That has already helped me a lot during coding.

I just bought **** so I should spare and spend money for *** equipment. That is why I think about price..

Damn I think I made a huge mistake: Had a delivery date of next week at apple, but noticed today that amazon.de has listed the new MacBooks today. Decided to cancel my order at apple and order at amazon.de, because it said „releases at 26th October“ and normally they deliver on release date if you can get a pre-order in before the item is sold out. Now my order says I will be informed when they know the actual delivery date. Ooops! ? Oh well, lets hope my 2016 Macbook Pro does not explode before I get the new one. The battery is very swollen already…

I changed my battery 3 times on my 2016 MBP ! once under Apple warranty, 2 times afterwards, each time swollen and the MBP not properly closing, ok I use it mostly in clamshell mode, but hope the next ones being a bit beefierr" will be better in that department ..
