So, I've just rechecked my status and it's changed and now says this

Status Preparing handover to final carrier 7 May
Est. Delivery May 8, 2015
Delivery Number xxxxxxxxxx
Delivery Service Standard Delivery

I've never seen this kind of status before, is anyone else familiar with this?

yours, cschaetzle, melb00m and mine are on the same track and plane.
But some of us have friday as delivering date, some monday (me).

Actually it should be in, or on the way to, Almaty, in 1-2h we will know more.
Expected arrival time, local time, in Almaty at 14:45, thanks to cschaetzle timetable ;-9

Korea: + 7h
Almaty: + 4h

You are so right!!! Arrival Scan @ Almaty. I really hope it will come tomorrow, that would be so awesome!!! *_*

BTW:
My adapters for VGA and HDMI came a few minutes ago. I think they look quite big for such a small and thin notebook, don't they? I mean they have three ports combined in one adapter, that's ok but I think it really doesn't follow the design line Apple has with the new MacBook...

My experience with Apple is that when an adapter is big, it's because it needs to be (to do a high-quality job).
When you do have your (amazingly portable) MacBook in your hand (soon!), my guess is you'll be thankful that all those electronics have been offloaded somewhere else. :)

Well, there is a lot inside :)

this really is an awesome machine. The sound quality from the speakers (when sitting in front) is surprisingly nice. And the processor seems pretty zippy too.

And the hinge action is a work of art...:)

I think this is exactly the point. Actually I have a 15" rMBP, the very first one from 2012. I really loved this machine because it was so fast and incredibly thin at that time. But I also discovered I wouldn't need that stuff like two Thunderbolt Ports or the SDXC reader (I usually take my photos today with the iPhone camera which is quite comfortable and good for a part-time fotographer  )
I hope you can understand me, it is such a new situation for me to get such a small notebook (the Retina MBP is really fat compared to all my friends having a MacBook Air) and I didn't really use those adapters in the past. Looking forward...:)

Im in exactly the same situation. Just sold my MacPro same model as yours as although a great machine I think I used the SD card slot about five times and the USB to connect the SuperDrive about twice. I no longer have that legacy software and my Nikon has wifi. Only time I will use the connector now is to attach to display at home or to download large files from camera. The best laptop is the one you carry with you and I found using my iPad in preference to MacBook Pro.

I am in exactly the same situation! Sold my first generation rMBP... Dont really need all of its features... Very excited for my hopefully soon arriving new rMB...

The next leg should start pretty soon now, almost 2 hrs have passed.

Yes, if it will be the same plane, it should leave in the next 30 min.

But if they change the plane, it will take > 1-3h.
Some minutes ago a flight 5X5? from Cologne to Almaty landed,
maybe it will fligh back to Cologne with our MB12 on board after new on
boarding, fueling etc....

Yes, already seen (you were faster)

and up in the air

It turns to the north site. Really hope the destination is Cologne. I can't see it right now!

Now it has just turned to the west site. Destination must be Cologne!!

----------

It is the same aircraft that brought the MacBooks from Korea to Almaty

When mine was at the same stage the destination was listed on tracking sites as Warsaw, but it flew right past. They're in the same direction from Almaty so it could be either.

If you check the previous flights and their schedule under that flight number, I'm pretty sure it's headed to Warszaw and then Cologne.

----------

Still no departure scan in the UPS tracking, though. I sure hope they didn't unload my MacBook from that plane ;)

Even if it's not unloaded, we should see a departure scan. I'm pretty sure they are not in this plane anymore.
