The reason you haven't got atracking number yet and other people have, is that you probably ordered something else with the macbook, I ordered the USB-c adaptor. If you do then the order gets merged in th UK, then you will get the tracking number once the order has been merged. It is probably quicker to order nothing else with the macbook, so it comes direct via UPS from China.

Ah,could be, but I only ordered AppleCare which I didn't think was something physically delivered. I thought it was 'auto-enrol'.

my credit card was just charged...i want to thank Dolce Gabbana and the rest of the European Union countries :)

I'm in the same situation. I'm hoping that it's Apple playing it safe and that it'll arrive on or before Friday 8th May. It's absurd that AppleCare would introduce so much delay.

I've also given up trying to use the UPS tracking facility with my order number, as others here have suggested was possible.

This release had really put me off Apple, and, for the first time, I'm looking at ways to wean myself off the dependency I have on their ecosystem.

I just wish Windows wasn't so pants or that another company offered similarly tight hardware-design and OS usability. That would, hopefully, make Apple take its customers less for granted.

So tired of looking for updates... and seeing 'Processing Items'.

Awaiting a UK 1.3 Space Grey plus the AV Adapter using PayPal credit.

Confirmation email received at 08:26 on the 10th, so I would have thought I should have seen some movement based on other's experience.

PayPal credit gives no hint as it just shows the money as pending and has done since the 10th.

My SFBags sleeve is sitting looking empty :-(

I also ordered 10/4 8.05 and added the adaptor and originally had 8/5 - 12/5 delivery, today that slipped to 11/5 - 18/5 and wonder if the adaptor did that, still only a few days later just got to be patient but after three weeks wait patience is wearing thin.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Really p*ssed off!

I think the solution may be to try to forget the whole thing for a week and stop checking every five minutes.

It's turned me into an obsessive idiot, and I really don't like it. :) :D :(

You've just described my experience! I've turned into an ugly obsessive who can think of nothing better to do than grumble about Apple. I must be a joy to live with.

What did you select for delivery - to get items altogether or as they become available? That might have an impact. I selected to get items delivered separately and my USB connector has been dispatched and should be with me by early next week. If you are getting all items together it might cause a short delay whilst they 'marry' them up.

I remember when I ordered my first (white) MacBook I added a remote control and it pushed it from a few days to a few weeks for delivery. I contacted Apple who told me it was because I was getting a non standard spec MacBook. When I pointed out all I had done was to add a remote he laughed and said he would split the order up to stop the delay. However that was about 6 years ago and there were items in stock. It wasn't around a launch or anything. In fact I think it was pre iPhone

Thanks, going to ring Apple Store later to double check. Was in such a rush to order it may not have selected separate delivery.

Please let us know how you get on.

Found out it's because I changed the delivery address after I ordered. If you make any changes or add a gift message to your order this pushes you down the queue!

Ah right. I didn't do that. Must have JUST missed the cut off point for 6th May delivery. Not to worry.

He did say there is every possibility of orders dispatching sooner than new 11th delivery date. He said he's seen a few that have gone out earlier. So keep fingers crossed.

I'm very concerned about UPS, they have such a bad reputation as a courier company. I wish it was DPD, you get a text telling you the hour your package will be delivered. UPS, you'd be lucky if they even knock on the door.

I've always found UPS to be the most professional and reliable of all the courier companies, at various properties (different drivers). Their drivers are usually much better. They don't do the text or hour-window thing, but aside from that I'm always glad to see it's UPS delivering something important. DPD are (a relatively distant) second.

Maybe it's just your driver?

No I'm just relaying other people's experiences https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/ups-uk.com. Expensive packages dumped in bins or just not bothering to knock on the door at all but yet they update their systems to say delivery has been attempted.

I usually get all of my deliveries sent to my work address so I have zero problems but I wanted to be at home when I received this little package; should have thought that one through better. Oh well we'll see, if the worse does happens I'll just have to take it up with Apple.

heh @ one of the reviews UPS = Uncertain Parcel Service :D

I've personally had nothing but good experiences with them, though YMMV! A friend clearly had the same experience as you though, as he called them the 'Useless Parcel Service' :)

I've had many more problems with the low-rent companies like Yodel and Hermes dumping packages in bins etc. than I have with companies like UPS or DPD, who are usually good.

With courier companies, a lot seem to have bad online reviews - perhaps due to the fact that people are unlikely to take the time to post a 'good' review of a courier delivery online (knocking on the door and handing you a package hardly warrants a review), but are likely to go online to post gripes or complain, as when things go wrong it's quite a personal and important thing.

I would think you'd be fine :) Apple choose them because they're usually pretty good. UKMail on the other hand (who delivered my Apple Watch)...not sure what they're playing at there :)

Today my MacBook was in Status "Waiting for payment", because my Credicard companay refused the charge.
I called them to approve the charge, so they status will change then "preparing for shipment"

I also received an E-Mail from Apple that the MacBook is preparing for shipment, but they are waiting for the payment.

I'm from Germany. MacBook 12'' 1,1GHz Space Grey

Ah, that's tough. I'm in Germany as well, ordered just as the store went up, and there's no change and no charge (anymore). What keyboard layout have you picked? I'm thinking that they're prioritising GBR layouts right now (making them in batches so they don't have to re-tool their assembly line). But I might be wrong ..

I will call Apple on monday to check if everything is okay now with the payment now.

Sounds Great. I Hope so too

Update:

Think we get our Macbooks on Wednesday too. In fact Apple ships it tomorrow.
Normally it takes 2 - 3 days from China to deliver in Germany.
