hats off to evad3rs to for clean easy JB!

Now just waiting for cydia to work properly! not too fussed about that, went on a 20 mile run after work so recovering from that

I don't like voiding my warranty, but I'm willing to for the improved functionality.
But you're right that I'll rationalize not paying AT&T an extra $20 per month for something that I already pay $100 per month. I pay for my data connection on my iPhone. Being able to use that data connection to DL email on my iPad via a tether is A-ok by me.
You're wrong in your rude assumption that I laugh at anyone about it.

You wont void your warranty if you do a simple restore, Your right about the crazy at&t policies, you have already paid for the data why should they care how you use it?? adding function is not stealing.

You don't HAVE to do an iTunes upgrade, but it was recommended by the dev team. So, technically incorrect, but practically might want to follow the advice.

ah yeah, I see, is more of a technicality due to wording... but still, newbs are the ones that won't follow advice and fudge it up later on if OTA really makes a difference, then they will create hundreds of threads complaining.

I have an iPhone 5 and a Macbook air, I just click on jailbreak and everything goes well till the part "unlock your iPhone and click the new Jailbreak icon" ... I unlock my iPhone and there is not an "jailbreak icon" !?! what i´m doing wrong?

Flip through your app pages - mine was on the second page, even though I had room on the first.

Cydia overloaded for anyone else? I keep getting POSIX: Connection Refused on everything i try to install. :(

I have never been jailbreaking my iPhone, so I would like to ask why one would do it?

For an example, what is the top 3 or 5 features you achieve by jailbreaking your iPhone?

Looking forward to an explanation :)
Cheers.

The only reason why I need to jailbreak is because Apple's SMS DB saved all my old SMS messages. Even ones which I deleted from the SMS app. Due to this I have 6.6GB of "other" space being taken up because of old videos I texted but Apple won't delete it. Jailbreaking allows me to "fix" what Apple should have done automatically.

So are we chalking up the fact that when we go to "Manage my account" in Cydia and its blank to their servers being crushed?

Same with error messages when trying to install tweaks?

Hey!

Quick opinion. To upgrade to 6.1 before jail breaking or not? Has anyone stayed on the 6.0.2 firmware and jailbroken?

Thanks.

how do you fix this with jailbreak (a simple workflow would be nice)? I'm having the same issue.

Being at work right now is torture. I'll be home in 5 hours but each passing minute it gets harder and harder, need to get home to JB :D Maybe by then Cydia would be so pressed.
