I would. It's the first button at the top labeled "Reset All Settings". After you activate your phone and restore your backup, go into Settings -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. Your phone will reboot. You will have to reconnect to your wireless access points, re-enter in passwords for your email accounts and adjust other minor settings like screen brightness.

I've done this for 4 iPhone 5's already and it's worked on all of them.

Thanks a lot man!

I keep hearing about poor quality ANd scratches but I haven't seen it first hand yet. I've seen a few friends and several coworkers phones. All of them, including mine had no issues. I really do think it was a bad batch or something that was fairly temporary.

I'm pretty sure this is common for all phones. Obviously they improve the manufacturing process over time. This is why it cost less to manufacture later in the life of the product. I also think this is a big reason Apple created the 4S (it gave them higher profit margins and manufacturing process was already perfected by release date).

Yes, we all just knew that only 10% of iPhones got packaged and shipped instead of the normal amount.

I got the information from a pack of bubble gum, how'd the news reach you?

= = = = = = = =

The thing is, it's likely that ALL devices go through a period like this early on.

Yea ur right, we should cut apple some slack since this is the first phone they ever made, and in light of the fact that this is their first time working with Foxconn.

I've only seen two iPhone 5's up close. My white 64gb and some dude I do not know's black one tonight in line getting dinner. His appeared to be flawless. Mine was scratch and dent free out of the box.

I've seen the pics of damage posted on here, and I don't doubt that some people got damaged phones.

I just don't think there are as many as people are claiming.

Hell, about half the pics on here have scratches that are so tiny they can barely be seen.

I got to thinking that maybe my OCD was running low on launch day, so I just yanked mind out of this Speck CandyShell (nearly needed a crowbar to do it). Nope. No defects.

I dunno. I think people should be satisfied with their purchases, but let's not get hysterical.

Not at all my point. I guess I wasn't clear so I'll try this again in a more direct way:

How on earth could "everyone on this forum already know" this fact ahead of time? What is your theory behind that comment? That we've all visited Foxconn or something?

My black 32gig that I preordered and received in the mail on launch day is flawless. The black 16gig I ordered for my wife and received in the mail today is also flawless. I have numerous friends and coworkers that have iP5's that are all flawless. It's not that I don't believe a few people on here got a flawed iPhone, I just don't think it's as widespread as some would like to believe.

I have yet to see 1 flawless iphone. 2 replacements, my brothers, and a co-worker all had dents and scratches. The Apple store phones are beat up. I think people who have flawless are just less picky.

My preordered black 64gb iP5 was in perfect condition when I received it on 9.21 and remains that way. The new iP5s, which my family members and friends have received are all in perfect condition.

Thus far, I am the only one whom has had a SIM card problem, which was easily remedied in some 5 minutes at the local AT&T store.
