Apple and AT&T usually use FedEx for iPhone deliveries. Also depends on shipping date, but from some of my customers I've heard its before 10AM for home deliveries. In-store DF, whenever the delivery gets there.

thanks and one more question i can change my plan from itunes when it comes because i have unlimited now and i want the 2gb plan. another question does the city employee discount (or whatever it called, for a teacher or something like that) apply towards the iphone plan i don't remember.

When I created my account it had to go under my mother's name because I basically have no credit. If I decide to pick it up in store, will she have to be with me or can I purchase it by myself?

If you are an authorised user on the accout you would be able to pick it up. Keep in mind you will have to pre-order it as well. The person who's credit card you are using will need to be there as well.

If you are an authorised user on the accout you would be able to pick it up (if you are the one ordering the phone). If the credit card is not in your name the you must have the card holder present.

You can change your data plan through OLAM (MyAccount) and most FAN discounts discount the data but I would talk to a rep to make sure.

If you pre-order and have it shipped to home/work address do you still have to top up the £10 they charge in store?

This will allow you to pick-up the pre-order at your local AT&T COR store. You will a Photo ID and the credit card that was used for the pre-order.

Your best bet would be to pre-order for direct delivery. If you order on June 15 you have the best chance of receiving the new iPhone 4 on June 24. The official AT&T annoucement indicated the pre-orders for in-store pickup would be available on or after June 25 "Launch Day +1". Apple controls the allocation and AT&T gets a smaller allocation the Apple Retail Locations.

Note: This proceedure is not valid at any Apple Retail locations. Apple requires the Primary Account to be present for the transaction.

Quick question: If I get it delivered, since the new phone has the micro sim, will my regular sim still work in my 3gs?

Great info, thanks!

I'm not positive about pre-ordering though, I don't know if there's one specifically reserved for you or if it's still first-come-first-served for the pre-orders. I have to assume you'd be guaranteed one but you would be waiting in a line.

I talked to an att lady today and I was told that when I pre-order from the att site on the 15th I will be reserved a phone and it will be shipped BY the 24th, that didnt tell me if it WOULD be at my house on the 24th but good enough for me lol.

on a side note, my cousin called me today and I told him about the iphone 4, he said "yeah I ordered one yesterday"

Some dick of a att rep told him his iphone was the newest available but failed to tell him about the iphone 4 lol...

When I explained to him he had been duped by a commission hungry duche bag, he hung up on me and called them back. Dunno if it helped or not but the manager he spoke said he would make sure he fixed the sales rep attitude who caused him so much trouble, heh.

We didn't get the memo until like 2PM EST that there was any iPhone 4 or the price changes for the 3GS. So it coulda been an honest mistake.

Sorry, wasnt ragging on all att peeps, the few I have ever dealt with have always been helpful. He ordered his yesterday evening after getting off of work. Pretty sure this guy was a douche.

I pre ordered last year and the pre order line was as long as the walk up line and slower.

14th Street store, NYC.

well that defeats the purpose lol.

Yeah NYC stores are pretty nuts, you would think that since there are 4 stores in relatively close proximity in NYC it wouldn't be as bad but not the case.

I rather pre-order for home delivery and not deal with it. I'll probably have my cousin hang out in my house and take the delivery while I'm at work.
